the blockchain solves one of the biggest challenges in art: provenance. especially in photography, where originality has always been difficult to verify, nfts create a permanent and transparent record of authenticity.

if you think about the art hanging in museums, most of it is already decaying. the truth is a lot of what we see is not even the original work anymore. pieces have been restored and painted over so many times that the artist’s original brushstrokes are barely there. nfts change that. they are about thinking long term, giving artists and collectors a way to preserve a legacy forever without the inevitable damage that comes with time.

we are also entering a fully digital world. eventually screens will be indistinguishable from prints, and when that happens collectors will want their art secured on the blockchain. it will not just be about ownership, it will be about permanence and access.

there is also a practical reality to collecting. serious collectors run out of wall space. they store pieces in warehouses, paying to keep them safe but rarely seeing them. nfts offer a way to collect, preserve, and display art without those limitations.

the truth is we are just so early. it is not obvious to everyone yet. right now we are still a small niche, but that is where every major shift begins.

It would be great if tens of thousands of digital artists could live from their craft

To get there, we need hundreds of thousands of collectors

To onboard that many collectors, we need frictionless digital art collecting
