Today, the Clarity Act failed to advance in the Senate, a tremendous missed opportunity for American consumers, the digital asset industry, and U.S. competitiveness.
What it doesn't change: Ripple and $XRP stand on settled ground.
The Clarity Act may have fallen short, but the need for clear rules has not gone away. And neither has Ripple's commitment to helping build them. https://t.co/p4jb3YeJts

President Trump agreed to new ethics restrictions in the Senate's CLARITY Act, covering federal officials, judges, and their spouses' crypto dealings.
Give Trump credit for the move that actually mattered here. Presidents don't usually volunteer to restrict themselves, and he agreed to rules a Republican senator is calling the toughest ethics standard in U.S. history, on a bill he personally wants passed. That's not the move of someone hiding a conflict, it's the move of someone confident the industry needs real rules more than he needs. Democrats spent months using the ethics clause as a reason to hold the whole bill hostage, and Trump answered by giving them 126 changes rather than letting American crypto companies stay stuck in legal limbo for another year.
