It's disheartening to witness the ongoing negligence, mistreatment, and mismanagement at the hands of @MOH_Kenya. Nursing Officer interns, who tirelessly contribute to our healthcare system, find themselves trapped in a cycle of unpaid salary arrears. Every damn time.

I'm a new medical officer who recently completed my internship program and would like you to help expose the rot at afya House that has apparently been there for years even with change of top administration.

Here's the story, our health system stinks right from the top. After completion of our 6 year rigorous training we are expected to complete a 12 month paid internship plus an additional 1 month of paid leave. There's a trend in the ministry of health that some people usually pocket the 13 month paid leave and the last month's salary of majority if not all interns. Speaking on behalf of the group of 2022(almost 380 young doctors)in which majority started their internship last year on 27 th July .

The said cartels created an artificial error in their payroll system and paid us less than 50 thousand shillings, the error of which they claimed affected majority if not all MOH workers, we raised the complain and they promised to correct it mid August mind you our payroll numbers are set to expire after a year, a move they further assured us through KMPDU's leadership that they'll pay us the remainder of almost 100k via vouchers. This is almost 380 million kenyan shillings in arrears for the said group.

Fast forward to August the ministry managed to pay the arrears of those workers still in the payroll system and someone pocketed the 380 millions for those who had automatically been off the payroll system, on raising the concerns at the ministry some Individuals were even bold enough to say you're not the first and wouldn't be the last interns to miss out on your salaries. This is a rot that has been cultivated in the country with impunity.

I've attached July's payslip and also the August's payslip for those still doing their internship. Kindly help expose this rot in the ministry of health

Within the sterile chambers of medical theatres, the drama of mistreatment continues. @MOH_Kenya interns remain neglected, their salaries unpaid, and the drama persists unabated. This will not stand. Not anymore. If you think you'll fatten yourselves with our money, think again.

@MigunaMiguna hello Dakitari help us air out this issue they might listen to you. 12months now Degree nurses in Kenya have not been posted for their mandatory internship. We can't practice they won't give us licenses. We are stuck , depressed and tired of their fake promises.
