The file is in LG office says one side.
It’s with GoI says another.
And now GoI says it’s not with us.
So where is the file? Or is this just a game of passing the buck? This is not a joke. This is the future of thousands of students.
The responsibility lies with the elected government. You cannot hide behind offices while students suffer. Aspirants are crossing age limits, careers are getting destroyed and you are busy playing office-office.
Parliament replies clearly state there is no representation received does that mean students voices don’t exist or you simply choose not to hear us? Stop this blame game. Stop this administrative hide-and-seek. Take responsibility. Take a decision.
We are not files. We are futures.
Please save our tribe.
@RuhullahMehdi
Standing firmly with @Junaid_Mattu Sahaab as he bravely speaks up for merit and gives a voice to the voiceless Kashmiris on the reservation issue. His clear-cut stand for fairness and open merit is making waves and no amount of pressure or complaint from the so-called reservation elites can silence that truth. Let’s stand by those who champion true meritocracy.

I just met the Honourable Member of Parliament, @RuhullahMehdi Sahaab at his residence and had a detailed discussion about the reservation issue. He mentioned that the decision will be based on the students’ satisfaction. So, we are meeting him tomorrow at 11 AM at his residence. I call upon all aspirants to join us, and make sure you are present there if you're serious about this issue.
So that we shall be able to take a final decision.

After spending a week writing an article on J&K’s new reservation policy and its impact, no one was willing to publish it. So, I’m sharing it here with you all on Twitter. Why is there such resistance against discussing general category concerns?
Rationalisation of Reservation Report? I am sure, J&K’s Social Welfare department has received the report from the law department. If that is so, why the report is not being made public?
I wonder why @jkssbofficial has been unable to complete the recruitment processes it initiated nearly a year ago. @OfficeOfLGJandK and Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah must take note and seek accountability. Institutions entrusted with recruitment should be led by officers known for their courage and decisiveness.
If the selected and elected both cannot address this issue promptly; aspirants deserve age relaxation and should be granted without any further delay.
Appreciate J&K High Court for acknowledging the injustice done to us.
Earlier General Category candidates could compete in over 50%. Still, our share was minimal. Now with just 30%, barely 10-15% might make it to the final list. This is not social justice, this is open daylight robbery. This is a massacre of merit, of dreams, of talent.
We won’t stay silent while a privileged class hijacks our future in the name of social justice. You cannot build a society by crushing its most hardworking and capable. It is high time to call out this injustice. It is high time to call out the privileged who grab our jobs and seats through backdoors.
This is our right, We have earned it. Give it to us. Enough is enough. Stop murdering our dreams for your vote bank.
Stop killing merit for your politics.
Stop eroding institutions for your greed.
History will remember who stood up and who stayed silent.
#SaveOM
In response to Omar Sahab’s allegations about Mehbooba Ji’s silence on the issue of Open Merit students during elections I don’t wish to politicise the issue but would respectfully remind him of SRO 49 issued during her tenure as Chief Minister which reserved 75% seats for the Open Merit category. You on the other hand have made false promises which remain unfulfilled to this day.
So if your intention is genuine simply implement what she had already done & walk the talk.
The Government’s Silence on the Report and Push for Recruitment Is Unacceptable
On one hand, the government officially constituted a sub-committee to review the reservation rules and assured the students that no recruitment would be conducted until the report was submitted and implemented. This assurance was not given in whispers; it was made clearly in public statements by top leadership. The reason was obvious: how can recruitment go on when the very rules governing it are under review?
But now, just days before the official six-month deadline, the same government is seen holding meetings to fast-track recruitments, with no report submitted, no implementation in place, and no clarity on the status of the review.
What exactly is this? Is this governance or mockery?
The youth of Jammu and Kashmir are not fools. For five long months, they waited patiently with the hope that the sub-committee would do its job and the government would keep its word. Now, when only a few days remain, instead of focusing on submitting and implementing the report, the government is talking about fast-tracking recruitments?
This is a betrayal of trust. A betrayal of lakhs of aspirants who were told their future would not be decided under outdated or unjust rules.
Let it be very clear: any recruitment carried out without the submission and implementation of the sub-committee report is not just unjust, it is a direct betrayal of the very process the government committed to uphold.
We strongly demand that the government immediately submit and implement the report before moving even a single step forward on any recruitment.
This is not a request anymore. This is about the credibility of your own word, the future of lakhs of aspirants, and the integrity of public institutions.
We will not allow backdoor betrayals in broad daylight.

After the horrific Pahalgam attack I thought I had seen the depths of tragedy. But today as I looked at the haunting image of innocent children killed in the crossfire of India-Pakistan tension I realized the worst may still lie ahead. When vengeance knows no end it is the voiceless, the helpless who bear the unbearable cost - their stolen futures a wound that cuts deeper than words can ever express.
Farooq sahab’s statement implicating Kashmiris in the Pahalgam terror attack is deeply disturbing & regrettable. As a senior leader that too as a Kashmiri his statement risks fuelling divisive narratives providing ammunition to certain media channels to further stereotype & stigmatise Kashmiris & Muslims. This isn’t only misleading but fatal at a time when students & traders from J&K are already facing heightened vulnerability & attacks. We should draw inspiration from Himanshi Narwal who despite the martyrdom of her husband urged Indians not to blame and target Kashmiris or Muslims.
😭 @JKNC_ budget delivers zero for J&K’s unemployed youth— a 180° betrayal of its own manifesto.
The same youth who voted with hope now stand abandoned, their dreams crushed under false promises.
This isn’t governance; it’s deception.
@OmarAbdullah@RuhullahMehdi@jkpdp
Shameless deception!
@JKNC_ taking credit for old vacancies while your grand promise of 1 lakh jobs remains a myth.
Youth suffer while @OmarAbdullah exploit their future for politics.
Fraudsters in disguise, exposed in daylight!
Your 100% fake governance won’t fool us anymore!
Vocational trainers in J&K are the backbone of shaping countless students' futures. Yet, they continue to fight a relentless battle for regularization and fair salaries. It is crucial to recognize their contribution.
We appeal to the J&K Government to address this issue and formulate policy for their regularization and fair treatment @CM_JnK
Historic Employment Revolution Unveiled!
The @OmarAbdullah-led @JKNC_ govt, famed for grand promises of mass recruitment, has finally delivered.
After years of wait, lakhs of unemployed youth witness a 'Mega' recruitment drive so big even the most optimistic couldn't have imagined
Since becoming CM, @OmarAbdullah has focused on events & enjoyment.
The recruitment process is stalled, & daily, hundreds of students cross the age limit, their dreams crushed.
Such indifference to the youth is shameful and a betrayal of those he vowed to serve. @JKNC_
“I dont think some 1 here in our jk cares about the unemployed youth of jk ... from media ,nc govt and bjp along with lg nobody even cares .... nc cm omar abdullah sir is posting more than 20 photos of his own on fb and x within a single day but he doesnt utter a single word for the jkpsi aspiring students who are roaming day and night from one door to other in such harsh winter.we unemployed youth are now treated as nris in our own state /ut kindly highlight the issue as date of closing the application forms is not far away please ask specaillly @OmarAbdullah what kind of favour you have done for these aspiring students.” Posted as received over whatsapp. I haven’t changed a word. This is self-explanatory. @OfficeOfLGJandK should consider granting one time age relaxation as was granted earlier to these heartbroken aspirants. I have said a lot about this.
