Employment might come with its own frustrations, but unemployment has a way of breaking an adult’s confidence to the point where even answering calls, socializing and living life feels heavy 💔💔

Hi @GoBid_ZA as a proudly South African company we at View4You disagree with the fact that people cannot run diagnostics, check the car to see if it starts check for any warning lights, check fluids on your cars. We understand moving them is not doable like all other auctions.
Our founder recently reached out to your ambassador @mumborepairs and asked Him why your cars are not auctioned with a report stating the truth about the car as we have come across cases of possible mileage fraud and a case of a cloned car at GoBid. The response we received was that it would be difficult as the quantities are large and it would be costly. He also stated these cars are from various banks insurers etc. He further stated that GoBid will allow us to do our own inspections before we bid. His answers are acceptable and understandable. However, they do depict or show a lack of or no interest in protecting the consumer. Now today we were stopped from running a diagnostic, we were not allowed to get the car started and we were also not allowed to check the fluids.
How can people bid confidently with these limitations?
Now our humble request is, please permit us to run our checks thoroughly to ensure we know what we are bidding on. All other auctions permit such and it’s only you who does not allow it.
A diagnostic test is crucial in the process of practicing due diligence, if you do not want us to run a diagnostic, can you please run it and place the report on the windscreen of your cars that can be diagnosed?
You can contact us at [email protected] and we can run it on all your cars if you do not have the capacity to do so.
Thank You.

So the IDC just ran a paid News24 piece telling South Africa how great they are. Allow me to do something the IDC apparently cannot: basic maths.
They say they approved R26.6 billion in “transformation funding” last year and “created or preserved” 15,000 jobs.
That is R1,773,333 per job.
One million, seven hundred and seventy-three thousand, three hundred and thirty-three rand. Per job.
You could pay someone the average South African salary for nearly seven years with that money. Or you could give it to the IDC and they will “create or preserve” one job. Maybe. If the company does not end up in their R30 billion distress portfolio.
Oh, did I not mention that? The IDC’s distress portfolio, that is the money they invested that is now in trouble, is R30 billion. That is bigger than the R26.6 billion they approved this year. They are underwater. They are losing money faster than they are deploying it.
And of that R30 billion in distress? R9 billion is in black-empowered entities. So roughly a third of the “transformation” money they are bragging about in paid newspaper articles is currently circling the drain.
But wait, there is more.
Since 2017, the IDC has given R8.5 billion to 128 black industrialists. Sounds impressive until you learn that a single manganese company got R6.1 billion. One company. That is 72% of the total. Three companies consumed virtually the entire allocation.
The average per industrialist? R66.4 million.
Here is my favourite part: the IDC says 88% of its funding goes to black-owned businesses. Beautiful number. Very clean. Very round. Very paid-media-friendly.
But when NAFCOC went to Parliament and said the IDC is undermining black industrialists through “aggressive recovery actions, premature legal enforcement, and liquidation processes,” the Portfolio Committee Chair responded: “It appears that the IDC has not effectively embedded issues of transformation in its business processes.”
That is Parliament. Not me. Parliament.
So here is what R26.6 billion in “transformation funding” actually looks like:
1. R1.77 million per job (if you believe the job numbers).
2. R30 billion in distress (which they do not mention in the paid article).
3. R9 billion in black business distress (which they definitely do not mention).
72% of black industrialist funding going to three companies (which they will never mention).
But sure. Run the paid article. The maths will still be here in the morning.
Early December 2024 at Ballito Junction I borrowed a Smart Shopper card from a stranger in the queue. The moment it was swiped the machine rang. The cashier said there was a competition running and the card had just won R1 million cash.
I froze. We both knew the money belonged to the card owner. No debate. He thanked me, gave me the discount points, and walked away. We have never seen each other again.
The staff still call me USigidi Owadlula. The million that passed by 💔
@Lee_Raa_Tuu Just this Thursday, Waze said keep right, then the song playing on the radio said something about left and I only realised when I saw the map rerouting😂 damn this finally caught me today.
Wow just tested this, the child I named Lovemore and said was from Zimbabwe was accepted. The other one I named Likhona and said she was South African was not. It’s literally the same school 😤

Estate agents in SA are coining it with ‘credit check fees’. Every single rental application, another charge, even though the National Credit Act gives applicants one free credit report per bureau every year, they won’t accept it. In the Western Cape’s brutal rental market, where average rent is now over R11k and far above the national average, just looking for a home can drain your wallet. This practice needs scrutiny. Something has to give. @NCRegulator@OmbudCouncil@The_PPRA
MZANSI🇿🇦WARNING‼️ 🏃 <<< 🚙
This car was being sold by various dealers, we had to wait for them to bring it from another dealer. 👎🏾
Advertised as accident free, Great condition etc etc. 🫤
1) We could not test drive this car, the brakes were not working.
2) Diagnostic came back with 12 out of 15 faults. Motor, airbags, brakes all fault codes confirming this smash it had.
3) While inspecting car the dealer got upset and took the car away as you see in frame 3, he says there is another buyer who wants it. 😞😞😞
SAD 😢 PART IS SOMEONE WILL END UP BUYING IT IN THIS STATE.
MZANSI🇿🇦 Please don’t grow weary in spreading the word about View4You.🙏🏾
Please help each other when going to buy cars. This is crazy and upsetting.
