Today, with the support of the Minister of Health and Population, CRS, in close collaboration with the Government of the Republic of #Congo and its implementing partners, has launched a three-year @GlobalFund-funded program.

The three-year program will help to eradicate #malaria and implement strong and sustainable health systems. Malaria remains a serious public health concern in the Republic of #Congo, with over 6 million people set to benefit from the program's implementation.

The launch ceremony was attended by government officials, Global Fund representatives, and key partners— including representatives from various embassies, United Nations agencies, the Catholic Church, and the World Bank.

Min. @jnabdallah received a high-level delegation of the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) from the United States. They discussed ways of expanding their partnership, and the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of areas CRS can focus on for youth development in Rwanda.

The guests visited as well the #DioceseofNyundo met Bishop Anaclet MWUMVANEZA and discussed the ongoing partnership between CRS and the Diocese of Nyundo. Mgr. Anaclet appreciated the support offered by CRS as a rapid response to the floods that affected the diocese.

As part of the #JourneyofHope, the CRS board members and valued donors visited young entrepreneurs in @Rubavudistrict and @Rutsirodistrict, supported by the CRS’ #YouthforYouth and #GeraKuNtego projects implemented in partnership with @CaritasRwanda and @CaritasNyundo.

@CatholicRelief board members and donors visited a Nurturing Care Hub in @NyabihuDistrict established by #USAIDGikuriroKuriBose program. They observed how CRS works with partners to promote nutrition and ECD. The delegation also met V/Mayor Social Affais and FED.

As the CRS board members and donors continue the #JourneyOfHope in Rwanda, today they met @jnabdallah,minister of @RwandaYouthArts, to discuss the ongoing partnerships between CRS and the Ministry of Youth and Arts in empowering young people and promote youth entrepreneurship.

On the same day, yesterday, the delegation accompanied by the CRS Rwanda leadership team met with his eminence Cardinal @KambandaAntoine, and they discussed the ongoing CRS partnership with the Catholic Church in Rwanda. (3/3)

On the first day, the visitors, @CrsRwanda and @CaritasRwanda staff, together attended a holy mass celebration at St Michel Cathedral, and later the delegation visited the @Kigali_Memorial, where they laid wreaths in honor of victims of Genocide against the Tutsi. (2/3)
