@BrianDeMars1 This ruling as described is correct according to current policy. Missing a Pact trigger hasn't been handled by resolving the default action since 2019.

@Fearthecow93 @jamesey_r @ChefGreginald Interestingly, many of the cards in Magic that were so broken as to require banning were ones that allowed players to cheat on the one-per-turn mana limit. Fast mana cards are now rarely printed, and only ever with extreme scrutiny for this reason.

@Mengu09 Penalty is the same in Magic. A Game Loss is the official, policy-supported penalty, and it counts as a deviation if you downgrade to a warning. (That said, when this came up in events for me, that's what I/the HJ always ended up doing)

@StarCityGames Anything with the word Praetor in it. For some reason, WotC staff pronounce it different from the actual English word and also the Latin word it derives from. Unknown Event all-star Praetorhoof Behemoth gets a lot less funny when you know the correct pronunciation.

@SBMTGDev Yes, exactly. If you've been playing for 30 years, you must recall that for 20+ of those, that's what Magic was. Runeclaw Bear replacing Grizzly Bears in core set bcs normal bears weren't magical enough, real world sources cut from flavor text for breaking immersion, etc

@wildstwawberry Sensitivity is a serious issue. But so is censorship, and it should only be considered in cases where there is a legitimate need. AFAIK, no one is actually offended by the use of "tribal" (as opposed to being offended on behalf of someone else), and that's not good enough
