Journalists conducting interviews on #Ebola are equally ill-prepared and heightening anxiety. There is more that Kenya will benefit and achieve by having an #Ebola center in the country by building the capacity of our medics as well as testing and treatment capability.
@johnallannamu@MOH_Kenya Why do they hate us so much? Does it have to be Kenya? Ebola is not endemic in Kenya, so they want to introduce it here. The UN can't treat those people in America itself? I think this clearly is not fair.

Prof. Ayub N. Gitau has been appointed the 9th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, while Prof. Josiah O. Aduda has been appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance, Planning & Development).
The University of Nairobi Council, following a special sitting held on May 14, 2026, made the announcement.
Council Chair Chacha Nyaogotti stated: βThese appointments mark a new chapter for the University of Nairobi as we strengthen leadership for excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness.β
The Council also appreciated Prof. Margaret J. Hutchinson for her service as Acting VC.
