to those Republicans who aren't angry incels or QAnon loons, but instead are GOP electeds and professionals:
are you proud of what you've done?
are you happy watching him shatter the rule of law, ruin lives and degrade America's place in the world?
was it worth the money?
I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office.
Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy.
Trump and Vance appear to be completely aligned with Putin, the invader whose aim has been to conquer Ukraine.
Zelensky should know that millions and millions of Americans still stand with him and his valiant people.
@megynkelly A most dangerous and irresponsible act by the GOP. Partisan politics is one thing. But they are literally placing our national security at risk with this nomination.
Hunter
Here’s the reality.
No USAtty would have charged this case given the underlying facts. After a 5 year investigation the facts as discovered only made that clear.
Had his name been Joe Smith the resolution would have been - fundamentally and more fairly - a declination.
Pardon warranted.
Ask yourself a vastly more important question. Do you really think Kash Patel is qualified to lead the world’s preeminent law enforcement investigative organization? Obvious answer: hell no.
@RpsAgainstTrump It was absolutely the right thing to do. Thank you @POTUS. If a (multiple) felon can serve as president of the US and be granted blanket immunity over all present & future crimes, Hunter should not face jail over some weak “trumped up” charges.
.@Timodc tears into the nomination of Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense:
“It’s like if somebody’s personal life is that much of a disaster, would you want them in one of the most important jobs in the world? I mean, maybe if they had the resume for it…but he’s a talk show host. A weekend morning talk show host”
The GOP wants to give the new president Orwellian powers to impose a Kafkaesque nightmare on America's nonprofits. What could go wrong with the new administration having the power to designate groups as "terrorist-supporting" with no judicial determination and no due process?
Hoping and praying this is not true. Because leaving a vacancy open now on a Deep South appellate court like the Fourth Circuit--where we have worked for decades to reform it & make it less hostile to civil rights--would be political malpractice of the highest order.
