In one of the most bizarre procedures I have ever witnessed, city council votes 9-0 to raise their pay 6% to $76,544 without ever noting the subject of the amendment or any discussion at all. All the discussion was behind closed doors so the public could not hear it. @KDKA

@JonDelano @KDKA They left public speakers who registered to speak on the line and sitting in chambers for 90 mins....I along with another speaker sat there and waited. Got to speak after the resolution was read and before the vote on it...no public discussion

@JonDelano @KDKA I was in the Chambers today for this special regular meeting which was supposed to address the budget item of their 22% salary increase. Don't know how it became a personnel issue. Meeting opened then recessed to go to executive session with public speakers waiting 90 mins later.
