@JHBWater Joburg Water decided that the people of Bordeaux and Blairgowrie don’t need water for a whole weekend. Just one day would be enough, and so, we spent more than 48 hours without water. Firstly, I keep buckets in my house, because this is @CityofJoburgZA we are talking about. I’m not stupid (mostly). But that didn’t fully dampen my weekend (haha), because I know the life of a povvo.
I kept myself clean with minimal water, and also kept the dishes out of the sink using less than 500ml of water at a time for a full load. Yeah, and you know why? You know why? Because I grew up in Katlehong in the 80s, where water was an optional service for people. We were too black to care about back then. These days, the poor service is non-discriminatory 😭.

Anyway, the water is back. So, my buckets are full, as are my bottles.
