I'm enjoying all the loose talk about the Air Quality Index from the same people who were overnight epidemiologists a few years back:

Did you hear the hazardous air score on a scale I didn't know existed five minutes ago is between 300-500? I have no frame of reference or knowledge on the substance of the matter but since I am easily frightened I will be completely credulous of the govt-media-science complex's pronouncements and will not only immediately comply but demagogue those who do not.

The madness of crowds and the craven busybodies who seek to lord over them. The human condition.

Had the honor of filling in for the first time solo today on my favorite radio show, Chicago's @MorningAnswer with @DanProft. Nobody wants to admit to this or be honest about it but the actual price everyone paid for the utter stupidity in the covid era was that the monetary supply doubled, which means everything inflated by 100% and that is actually why you feel like you can’t afford life anymore.

Stay home stay safe had a price. Now you’re paying it and you will continue to pay it for as long as you live. Food for thought next time someone tells you it’s a good idea to press pause on the economy.

Suddenly, you're 27.

You make your coffee, rush to work, come home around 7, and you're too tired to do anything except eat, scroll on your phone, and pass out.

Then you wake up, and do it all again.

And when Friday comes, maybe you go out, or maybe you're just too tired. Then, out of nowhere, it hits you.

How did everything pass by so quickly?

You don't even feel 27.

You still feel like that 17 year old kid who thought they had all the time in the world.

But somehow, 10 years just disappeared. And you start missing the past. The feeling of being young, excited, and clueless.

But then you realize, one day, you'll miss this, too.

Being 25, being confused, being tired, but still trying.

So maybe the trick is to slow down a bit and actually live this chapter before it also becomes just another memory.

The point is no matter what age you are, you’ll miss these days. Life gets busy sometimes and it’s always a good time to stop and smell the roses.
