Wout Van Aert is the best Grand Tour domestique of all time by a MILE - His presence completely changes the way GC battles are ridden. At the same time he is also probably the best stage hunter ever.
No amount of 'monuments' can hold a candle to this legacy in cycling.
2. Pogacar was able to gain considerable time quickly as he did the first ascent (in the rain, no teammates) at the same speed he did his winning TDF climb back in July. The favorites behind had to slow as they were way outside their zones trying to follow, while Tadej kept on the pace which he was clearly riding in his zones with. Amazingly, all his other ascents solo were FASTER than the final winning climbs of the race winners over the last ten years!
@pmuraus@Realvelo@300wNeilW Wasn’t aware of this, thanks. I’m not that familiar with the TUE system, but I’m pretty sure the backdating at least wouldn’t be possible anymore. Still seems flawed though
Pogacar is probably the most juiced rider in history. If a wt rider was riding against elite amateur riders they wouldn’t even be able to do this shit😭
@FredrikKarlss17@triviumcolombia That would even further push the point that pogi is sus, since his wins are at way higher level than Lopez’ were and he got caught
@EnduranceAgency Definitely, and he is a great athlete no matter what. It would be naive to believe everyone was clean but I truly thought most of the sport was fair. This year has just been ridiculous. Vingegaards “otherworldly” TT is nothing compared to this
Riding away easily in San Luca. Hands on the hoods, no need to get out of saddle like in June when Pog the Impaler tried to surprise Fish boy.
