We need more big thinkers in finance. Luckily, there are people like @blader

Siqi is a serial entrepreneur and an AI maximalist. He’s built and exited several tech companies and appears to be just getting started.

He could have chosen any industry to disrupt next… but he chose FP&A software. I first spoke with Siqi back in January of this year about the winding pathway that led him to Runway - who are turning the FP&A software game on its head.

Fortunately for me, Siqi was open to chatting again and getting to some unfinished business (mostly AI and looking towards the future).

He filled me in on where he believes AI is going to take the world of finance. We went way beyond all the hyperbole and marketing hype surrounding artificial intelligence:

- AI adoption throughout finance, and more specifically, whether it will be more like an Iron Man suit (a bolt-on to help finance leaders think more effectively) or the Terminator (gut the finance department)

- Addressing risks to privacy and compliance in AI adoption. Did someone say “hallucination”?

- The bull and bear cases for AI in finance. Whether the CFO will gobble up adjacent functions (or get gobbled) ...
