Don’t like being held accountable?
Change the rules!
Can’t advance personal interests!
Change the rules!
Everything’s better when you just change the rules!
Which is exactly what the UCP have done!
Hey presto!

Why are the Conservatives using offshore bot farms to spread disinformation in Canada?
Who paid for the bots Pierre?
Why do you have accounts from Russia saying they attended your event in Kirkland Lake?
You know how conservatives — especially Alberta conservatives — are always blaming things on Trudeau? Turns out it’s conservative-led Alberta that’s dragging down Canadian economic performance numbers. (Not to shrug off the unprecedented growth in non-permanent residents).
Alison Redford got caught in a whole series of personal entitlement scandals. Eventually she resigned. Who led the charge against Redford? Wildrose leader Danielle Smith.
Hey tweeps!
So…
This Tylenot™️, UCP Travel, Vanche Masks, Ministers, Invest Alberta, Chiefs of Staff and staffers travel thing is so so much worse than we’re prepared to handle at our little pod.
Like, this is so unbelievably corrupt and bad.

Today Smith claimed that conservatives have been the targets of dangerous rhetoric and that she’s never engaged in that sort of thing…
So yeah, thread…

I saw this on FB today but wanted to check the math myself.
It’s true: Alberta has the lowest per-student funding IN ALL OF NORTH AMERICA. We are lower than the lowest US state & all the other Canadian provinces.
Why do Alberta students deserve so little? #ableg#abed#yyc#yeg
.@demetriosnAB@Alberta_UCP
Alberta has...
- lowest funded classrooms in Canada
- huge class sizes
- new inferior curriculum
- a teacher shortage
....and you think 20 more standardized tests is just what the kids need?

For those who think that a parallel user pay system will help “offload” the public system, ask yourself where the healthcare workers (who we don’t have enough of in the public system) will come from. When Human Resources are finite, they get drained from the public system. /1
Guys, this is the Real Thing. You can see why I’ve been silent for some time now. Because I didn’t quite know how to say it any harder than I used to say it. So now here we are. And the first lesson is: you gotta understand this is real deal fascist collapse.
"I'm tired of people calling us millionaires. It's not like we're rich."
"um, sir, you're claiming that the change in inclusion rate will cost you millions? That's the tax (could be 50+%) on 1/6th of part of your income? Exactly how large was your taxable income?"
"Shut up."
Danielle Smith must reverse her position supporting yesterday's fundraising event sponsored by her MLA from Calgary-Lougheed and attended by several additional UCP MLAs.
At the event, one of the speakers, a previously discredited and now unlicensed physician from Alberta, called Alberta physicians sexual predators and pedophiles. This statement was met with great applause.
Alberta’s health-care system is in crisis. The crux of the crisis relates to a shortage of physicians in Alberta.
The spectre of the governing party fundraising off events where physicians are attacked in such a hateful way, along with the endorsement of those views by the attendance of five government MLAs, including one in a caucus leadership position, will jeopardize the recruitment and retention of physicians and, consequently, the very health and safety of all Albertans. The statements made were very damaging, and a failure to take responsibility would demonstrate a profound failure of leadership by Smith.
Smith and her MLAs must apologize to physicians, disavow these views publicly and donate all funds raised through this event to a charity of the CPSA’s choice.

“I’m going to be blunt. As a resident of Alberta and someone trained to recognize threats to democracy, I have an obligation to be.
“The UCP is an authoritarian force in Alberta. Full stop.
“I don’t come by this argument lightly.”
