Bittersweet.
Today’s my last day at @8NEWS. I’m so incredibly thankful for all the people I’ve had by my side these past three years. Working in news isn’t easy, but they’ve made it well worth it.
Richmond, I ❤️ you. But it’s time.

YOUR SIGN TO SUPPORT THE ADMO FARMERS MARKET! After 50+ years making the weekend trek from PA to DC with fresh produce, Licking Creek Bend Farm's Mike Tabor says times are changing and this year may be the last. He says he doesn't do it for money, but it's depressing nonetheless.
On way 1st day teaching journalism course on covering immigration, met by ICE in Mt.Pleasant at Lamont - agents appear to take father driving young daughter, likely to school. Agents shoving bystanders, daughter sobs it’s her fault-she’d seen car parked for 2hrs. Trump’s America
Federal officials arrested a delivery driver on 14th Street NW this morning. I ask the man arrested, if they gave him a reason. He responded “they’re taking me.”
DC neighbors stepped in to ask why he was being taken. No answer from officials. @wusa9
Washington, DC is a beautiful city.
DC is home to 700K people and welcomes millions every year.
We have the #1 park system, fantastic public schools, and a tremendous public transportation system.
And we are at a 30-year low in violent crime.
It's important for all who live here and visit to know how beautiful our city is and how proud we are of all that we've accomplished.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

Reagan National airport will resume flight operations at 11:00am. All airport roads and terminals are open. Some flights have been delayed or cancelled, so passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for specific flight information.
Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, emergency personnel at Reagan National Airport initiated their response to a crash between a passenger aircraft, identified by the FAA as American Eagle flight 5342, and a Sikorsky helicopter. Mutual aid from neighboring agencies were called to assist, and takeoffs and landings at the airport were halted for the remainder of the evening. We will continue to post information as it becomes available.
