On #WorldWetlandsDay, let's celebrate the invaluable role of wetlands in sustaining life. As one of our conservation priorities, we work to ensure we have clean & abundant water in our wetlands & marshes in areas where this is paramount to birds’ survival: https://t.co/9ZFXuAbBY2

So excited to be part of this incredible moment. As @LouisianaGov put it “This is a big deal! This region is so special and we owe that to the Mississippi River. When you restore land you’re protecting people.”
Today, @LouisianaGov broke ground on the single-largest ecosystem restoration project in U.S. history. Co-managed by @LouisianaCPRA & @USACEHQ, the Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion will reconnect the Mississippi River with its historic wetlands. https://t.co/tzKtzmPliQ

I told the @washingtonpost, “I don’t think it’s stopping the growth, it’s being more dialed in with where growth could go,” Paul said. “You’re going to see a bit of tightening on that. Absent new water supplies, that is the limitation we face.” https://t.co/KmFixhTvmG
