@HelenLyndon1 Agreed. The highly experienced and well-trained centre staff who worked so closely with families made a real impact. Centres were also places where interagency working, once established, was a reality and benefited families and teams alike.
Pleased to see this important issue receiving attention. Use of inconsistent and euphemistic language for restraint can obscure reality of school restraint practices for families - eg ‘calm room’ for empty padded seclusion room.
@AaronTeamEC It was a great opportunity to take some of our NTU Childhood students to the Nursery World conference. We heard some fabulous speakers and students were able to make the connection between practice and their academic studies.
Thanks all for your professionalism and engagement!
I have had the most amazing time at the Nursery World show this year. Met lots of amazing people and delivered an Early Years discussion and workshop. #EarlyYears#TeamEC#NWShow
@NTU_Ed What a great experience! It was good to be part of the wider conversation about developing pedagogy and practice in the EY and challenging ourselves to be creative in the way that we take the lead in making systems and policy work for our teams, our children and our families.
Had the great opportunity to visit Brooksby College to speak with the T level Education and Childcare students about their progression to studying at HE, sharing a taster of a level 4 seminar on the Childhood degree programmes at NTU and exploring aspirations for future roles😊

Such a great event with challenging speakers and opportunities to share our passion for Early Childhood. I was so proud of my students who presented their posters about aspects of sustainability in childhood. They were professional and knowledgeable about their chosen area🤩
