We are facing a critical health emergency in Africa with multiple health outbreaks across the continent. This year, we have witnessed a rapid increase in cholera cases affecting 18 African Union member states.
As of today, we have recorded a total of 209,900 cases (88,600 confirmed) and 3,266 deaths.
Last week a sharp increase of 3,183 cases was recorded and tragically, we lost 55 lives.
@AfricaCDC emergency teams are actively monitoring and responding to this outbreak.
