@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ Where on earth did you study law? Of course women have exclusive rights that support their PHYSICAL SEXUAL characteristics, at least in Western countries (certainly not in Afghanistan). What do you think the UK Supreme Court was talking about in that famous ruling?
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ You are experiencing a male body because you are a man.
This wont change because you like makeup and dresses.
I feel sorry for you because you’ve been deceived by a healthcare industry that the entire world and the scientific community are about to turn their backs on.
@LyonLollino@Ofeliainlove23@ricpuglisi ...
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ And, no. Some rights are common to all human beings (life, safety, freedom), but others are exclusive to certain categories, by virtue of the qualities they possess. Women possess a certain physicality that men do not possess. It is not a matter of self-declaration.
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ Yes, you are saying that males trans have women rights. And that's the point: no. Those rights are sex based, not "gender identity" based, and only FEMALE trans got them.
You don't have a right to Japanese citizenship because you identify with a manga. But you can wear as u pref.
A volte pericoloso.
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ Everyone has the right to non-discrimination. Trans people dont have any extra rights simply for being "trans". When they suffer from mental disorders (often), they have the right to the relevant treatment. You don't have a right to a pension because you feel old. Simple.
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ Women's rights are based on sex not gender. Trans rights are basically the right to healthcare and medical treatment. They are not in conflict at all, until you put them at odds by trying to manipulate language and extend the rights of one sex to the other.
We will show you ;)
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ Facts and history are heavily on the side of women's rights, ahead of trans rights. And if you put these two kinds of rights in conflict by appropriating or redefining words, we will show you all our strength. And how language works.
@SuperStella233@biologytrumps@CharlieWalsham_ You are fighting a losing war. Just find other words to describe your feelings and we'll all be fine. The whole human population will not adhere to your REDEFINITION of "man/woman" for obvious political, social, health, scientific, and safety reasons.
Thats how language works.
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ No one is saying that concepts similar to gender identity did not exist in cultures throughout history. But, again, those phenomena were referred to by finding other words, which is precisely what you have stopped doing without any right or logical reason.
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ This is exactly where the mistake is.
The terms “man” and “woman” have a millennia-old history that refers exclusively to sex, as the male and female specimens of the human species. Gender identity is a concept of the last century, and to refer to it you need to find other words.
@SuperStella233@CharlieWalsham_ I know what you mean. I'm saying you need to find other words.
Women and men are not concepts you can build ur gender identity on, because they are referred on sex for social, political, medical and scientific purpose. Sex is binary, immutable, external and EXCLUSIONARY reality.
