@LRH_Superfan Hm, how would Gendo react about his teenage daughter starting to resemble his dead wife that he is obsessed about... In any case he probably wouldn't had neglected her as much as actual Shinji. Possibly a full-on girldad... brutal
@JumpyFeller Makes sense. I guess the actual problem is more so that many games end up too easy or don't utilize random encounters to the fullest. Encountering a million Zubats every two steps isn't engaging since the player can just button mash through it
@belkaid60858@JumpyFeller In DQ 9 the amount of encounters ends up being the same as with randoms, so it plays like any other DQ, except with less surprises. Maybe its only like this in popular titles like DQ, Pokemon or FF, but I feel like they are too easy for anything you described to actually matter.
@belkaid60858@JumpyFeller That's why I said unavoidable. Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology, but with overworld encounters I meant something like in DQ9. I don't see how the resource management would be more engaging in that game, eventually you'll just outlevel everything anyway.
@ChaddyFantome@JumpyFeller But is that actually true? In my experience random encounters are just as stale and I just start fast-forwarding through them after a while. Once you outlevel an area, they're just cakewalks, no difference. I liked the way DQ 9 handlet it.
@willie_ole Some of my older relatives grew up in relatively poor and underdeveloped circumstances and they aren't like this. But alll their kids turned out like that, so I believe normie attitudes are largely a result of contemporary overabundance. "Weak men create bad times" and so on
@Lavader_ Funny how people here assume that surname is islamic in origin when it is actually more common among christians, especially Croats. Together with that first name I'd have thought you are an ethnic Croat... well you might actually be one after all...
@ABorlandFan88@vanhanenist There were, but they were already romanized. There are still some left in Switzerland and the might have survived in other areas even after the middle ages. There are place names related to them and people from Alpine areas have rare haplos ocassionally.
@ABorlandFan88@vanhanenist The areas between Czechia and Slovenia were only sparsely populated by Slavs at that time (also small numbers of pre-migration inhabitants and a tiny Avar minority). They were assimilated by the incoming Germans, but they left countless place names across Austria.
@InPlasticWrap Unfortunately, most people disagree with this. They think it is always better to appeal to as many people as possible, anything else is evil "gatekeeping" to them. It doesn't matter how polite you are or what arguments you use, they'll react viciously and won't butch even an inch
@martian_lore This is only really the case for janky PC games or genres too ambitious for their time. Mostly RPGs.
Also, only a handful stood the test of time? Come on now, Zelda and Mario alone offer two dozen highly playable old games.
@shelleddiva@Robin_C_Douglas The difference in outcomes between autistic men and women is way too large to be caused by a minority of predatory chasers. The truth is simply that men are generally expected to take the initiative in dating, which makes it extremely difficult for autistic men. That's it
@classicspilled Why is your immediate response to torture the weird kids, who are actually innocent? Why not improve society instead? We could bring back strict manner for starters, lol.
