My name is Justice Spriggs, I’m a dad, husband, and physician running for the Minnesota House of Representatives in 39B because now more than ever we need leaders who stand up for medicine, science, and public health.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
I know what the FL in DFL stands for. Our party is literally a coalition of the Democratic Party and the Farmer-Labor Party, a left third party. We win when we come together, we lose when people try to divide us. Humphrey's statue is near Floyd B. Olson's on the Capitol grounds.
The Supreme Court has once again ignored the facts, allowing kids to be subjected to harmful, abusive, and discredited attempts to “convert” their gender identity or sexual orientation by licensed medical professionals.
Children should NEVER be forced to endure these cruel practices — and our families deserve better.
This isn't just a campaign for 2026 - we're building a movement for 2028, 2030, and beyond.
I'm honored to have earned the endorsement of another 12 local leaders. It's humbling to know that folks from every corner of Minnesota believe in what we're building.
Some doctors say the Trump administration's health policies pushed them into politics. I joined @USATODAY’s The Excerpt to talk about the physicians now running for office and what it could mean for the midterms. Take a listen: https://t.co/tMwYF40fDK
Proud to be endorsed by @314action in my run for Minnesota House!
Now more than ever it is important to have leaders who will stand up and defend medicine, science, and public health.

We're closing out Pi Day Week of Action by endorsing these pro-science leaders for state, local, and municipal offices.
As this administration enacts anti-science policies, we need to elect STEM candidates who will lead with evidence, not ideology. #ElectScientists

Minnesotans are in crisis. From healthcare to affordability and constitutional freedoms, people in our state are struggling.
I am committed to making Minnesota a place where everyone can thrive and where we set our next generation up for success.
Turn off the national media for a minute, and step into what a typical day is like in Columbia Heights, Minnesota right now.
We may not be getting the national press about what is going on here like Minneapolis, but arguably we are getting hit harder.
