Yesterday, you heard me say we need oversight of AI. Well, today, I joined @RepJayapal for a shadow hearing on AI. 

Investors are betting trillions of dollars on AI for one purpose: the possibility that it will someday replace humans… replace workers. But let’s be clear: AI needs US. WE do not need AI.

Working people need to be in the driver’s seat. We, the people, can decide rules and limits, civil rights and protections, and proper oversight and guardrails for AI.

Yesterday at @cbcfinc, I hosted a panel on the Black radical tradition to recenter the fact that so many movements thoughout history have been to the left of the establishment. The coordinated attacks we’re seeing on our democracy, on Black politics, on economic justice are a reminder that the pathway forward is written in our past. Thank you to the incoming members who served as our panelists, to our moderator, and to everyone who joined us for a powerful discussion.
