The Vancouver Canucks draft lottery luck since they were last competitive:
2014 | 6.2% chance to climb - lost, picked #6
2016 | 48.4% chance to climb - lost, picked #5
2017 | 69.3% chance to climb - lost, picked #5
2018 | 39.6% chance to climb - lost, picked #7
2019 | 64.8% chance to climb - lost, picked #10
2021 | 11.1% chance to climb - lost, picked #9
2022 | 1.1% chance to climb - lost, picked #15
2023 | 6.3% chance to climb - lost, picked #11
2025 | 1.1% chance to climb - lost, picked #15
2026 | 44.3% chance to win - lost, picked #3
That's a 98.57% chance that they would have won at least one time across the 10 lotteries.
@avappleyard 90% of NHL refs are Canadian. If we would’ve had the IIHF refs, they would’ve been calling legal hits misconducts and trips majors. Look complaining about a conspiracy call in a game where the losing team is out shot by 25 shots doesn’t really work.
@TeemuSel8nne Cry me a river Teemu. You guys sat back for 2 1/2 periods hoping to hold on while being outshot two to one. No, you aren’t going to survive that, then you take a stupid penalty. Oh well.
@pete_gas Oh Pete.. if the reffing would have correctly called the hit to the head, that wouldn’t have happened. Plus, wasn’t much of a “fight”. Wilson is playing great.
@ThomasDrance@BrandonKodallas Come on guys! We always knew it wasn’t the coaching staff. This team sucks and it’s all because of ownership. Puppet management of the GM/VP of Hockey Ops, all these moves and issues have been present for years and all stem from the top #Canucks
