@chris_awk how do you get the stats for players? You mention a few with great stats…but who is doing all that tracking? I came up with a sheet to help bring life to the work they do…
@chris_awk I did this exact same thing weeks ago with my daughter… but picked 19 based on region and ncaa rankings… not easy. We also would like to see relegation with top 2 of tier 2 in region coming up…bottom 2 going down. I’ll sort out my work and send along
@tomsan106 They shouldn’t even need a coach at the elite levels… IF true player development was happening beginning at the grassroots level. ITS CRAZY to watch entry level coaches working with the MOST important groups/teams of players. You are always going to be playing catch-up…
@ImYouthSoccer Simple model IMO… Build a brand, nurture players, create an uplifting environment. As for college…dedicate a staff team to video and recruitment assistance..FULL TIME. The more success stories at the Club…better for everyone and keep in touch.
@opnkrykapitalst@ImYouthSoccer In a way they do… although not getting paid directly by colleges….clubs survive off the dreams of kids to play d1/pro then being subsidized by parents. The more successful a Club is with kids going D1 the more parents will pump in $$$.
@Don_K_Williams But if you’re in an area with very limited roster openings…you can’t realistically go around interviewing coaches…so you get who you get… or you make a team AND then they switch the coach and league on you immediately after you sign-up…glad we’re almost done with them….
@tomsasser Hello! Have a good friend that used to come there all the time… Harper’s that is. His daughter is going through a pretty tough time and one of her favorite things after her chemo was the Sicilian pizza… he would like to make it for her… Can you help?
@Don_K_Williams women’s soccer has become more competitive through massive portal #s, leaner rosters, and the confusion surrounding NIL. Kids AND parents need advice. All ECNL and GA clubs should have this option (for a fee) to help find #therightfit in hopes of not leaving after one year…
@tomsan106 Thanks! I couldn’t agree more about your philosophy. Clubs should schedule parents only clinics or produce online material for interested parents… plus ask parents to watch practices… not just games…
@Don_K_Williams Also, I believe being hung up on one position in soccer is the worst thing you can do…other than goalkeeper… Everybody attacks, everybody defends… Whether you have the ball or you don’t… each coach might see you playing something different.
@Don_K_Williams Being a junior is the kicker… versatility is attractive to coaches. Going to be hard to find a thriving team looking to pick up a
Rising senior that hasn’t been playing that position… Maybe it’s an excuse to quit playing… stay put my opinion
