At about a year into sobriety I realized I missed the actual rituals of drinking more than the alcohol itself.

It’s not really the booze you miss anymore. It’s the evening wind-downs, a beer with friends, a cold one after yard work - wine while cooking dinner.

Those rituals were the real pull. Once you see that, you can start replacing them. You can build new wind-downs, new ways to connect with friends, new moments that feel just as rewarding—without the alcohol.

And when you do, those old triggers lose their power. You start looking forward to your new rituals instead. It’s honestly a wonderful way to live.

Kirby - the oldest. Hard headed probably got his ass beat the most but now doing the best.

Sark - second eldest got away with more than usual cause dad was focused on the oldest. Slipped up in life but finding his way now.

Jimbo - middle child. The weirdest of the bunch. Never really showed up to family reunions but you know he’d be aight eventually.

Mario - The adopted son

Lane - the fourth child. The hard head but the most talented of the bunch. Dad was too old to beat his ass so he probably got away with more than usual also.

Dan Lanning - the youngest. A certified crash out. Probably on drugs.

With Kimmel getting canned I’m seeing lots of people talking about the hypocrisy of cancel culture. To me Cancel culture is when people go out of their way to dig up old tweets, videos etc looking for dirt on somebody they don’t like in an effort to get them fired. Like if Kimmel got canceled for shit he did on the Man Show that would be cancel culture. But when a person says something that a ton of people find offensive, rude, dumb in real time and then that person is punished for it that’s not cancel culture. That is consequences for your actions
