@toensures I remember James Gurney's opinion that trying to develop an art style is a waste of time. Just be the best artist you can be, and your style will manifest on its own, as an emergent quality of your work.
@theposearchives I was talking with a friend about how prior to the rise of the Indie Gaming Scene, mainstream corporate gaming seemed much more diverse, but now AAA Games cover a very narrow stylistic band, and all that creative energy has been funneled into the indie scene.
@arakkosuperstar Same reason Magical Girl shows are Japanese. They're narrow band manifestations of a very particular culture.
