Female anaesthetist numbers in Australia 🇦🇺 sits at about 36% of all @ANZCA fellows. Trainee numbers are slightly better, about 43% are female. And with a gender pay gap not explained by hours worked. We too have a long way to go
There are only 4 medical specialties that have more women than men in Canada 🇨🇦: Family Medicine, Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics & Psychiatry. My specialty has a way to go as only 27% of anesthesiologists are female. How can we make the Operating Room a place women want to be?
