SOLIDARITY
From Sinjar to Aleppo
A group of Ezidi activists stand with the Ezidi community who are trapped in Ashrafiya & Sheikh Maqsoud amidst escalating violence and displacement.
Their lives and rights must be protected, civilians, especially minorities, are in grave danger.
This displacement 😔💔
The displacement in Aleppo is devastating and heartbreaking.
Families are fleeing simply to survive—just as we did in 2014 when we escaped 1S1S to avoid death.
Different places, same fear, same silence from the world.

Genocide did not end in 2014.
Today, Yazidis are again fleeing this time from Aleppo. How many times must Yazidis be displaced before the world says: enough?
After 11 years of pain and resilience, seeing all Yazidis unite fills my heart with pride and hope. Congratulations to @murad_ismael on this historic achievement and new beginning for our people.
On the anniversary of the occupation of Sinjar and the genocide of our Yazidi brothers and sisters by ISIS terrorists, we respectfully commemorate the martyrs of this massacre, which is a deep wound in the history of the Kurdish people and all of humanity.

Over 5,000 Yazidis killed.
6,417 women & children kidnapped.
80+ mass graves.
68 shrines destroyed.
And still, ISIS crimes remain unpunished.
This is not justice.
It’s a failure of humanity.
#YazidiGenocide
On the commemoration of the Yazidi genocide, we remember not only what was lost, but what still remains:
The pain in our hearts.
The names of the missing.
The strength of survivors.
The fight for justice.
This is not just memory. It’s a call to act.
#YazidiGenocide#NeverForget
Today, the Ezidi community gathers at the Ezidi Genocide Memorial in Sinjar to mark the 11th anniversary of the genocide committed by 1S1S on August 3, 2014.
We stand in remembrance of the victims, in solidarity with the survivors, and in continued demand for justice and accountability.
Tomorrow, official ceremonies and the main commemoration will take place at the same site, as we renew our collective call for truth, dignity, and action.
And we have published and invited everyone to attend at the commemoration.

HoC representative @JuwanShro joined the Women Without Borders event by @Avvenire_Nei today, highlighting Yazidi survivor resilience.
Her article on the topic will be published in Avvenire on March 8, International Women’s Day.
HoC remains committed to justice, women’s rights.
March 1st 2025 marks four years since #Iraq's parliament passed the #YazidiSurvivors establishing an administrative reparation programme aimed at giving effect to survivors’ right to reparation.
