The Boston Globe is lying.
There is absolutely no observational evidence to support this. And it isn’t supported by physics either.
Extratropical cyclones (which is what nor’easters are) are baroclinic storms. That means their energy is derived from available potential energy stored in large-scale temperature gradients: cold continental air versus warmer maritime air. The stronger the latitudinal (equator-to-pole) temperature difference, the higher the vertical wind shear, and the faster a cyclone can grow by converting that stored energy into kinetic.
The first-order thermodynamic effect of polar amplification (a byproduct of global warming) is to reduce that gradient and starve baroclinic storms of their primary energy source.
Six years ago, The Washington Post said that Atlantic hurricanes seasons are going to become much worse due to global warming. Stronger storms, especially near the coast. Hyperactive years like 2020 was said to be a “harbinger of the future.”
Last week, The Washington Post reported that the lack of hurricanes in the Atlantic this year is also potentially because of global warming.
Climate change has become a convenient scapegoat for climastrologists blame everything that happens with the weather on. They can't ever be wrong.
Don’t blame Warsh for raising rates.
We could’ve had a golden era, but Trump squandered it by starting the war with Iran. Iran responded strategically, the oil shock reignited inflation pressures, and now the Fed is hiking.
Blame Trump and Israel, not Warsh.
@mirandadevine Brennan is one of the most corrupt, evil, anti-US people ever. He is despicable and totes around his little thesaurus to reference when typing out tweets and such.
@akafaceUS When prices vary as drastically between paying in cash as self-insured versus what’s submitted to insurance for coverage, that’s blatant corruption and should be illegal. We are getting fk’d and I don’t care which side fixes it, but whoever does, you get my vote.
