The number of deaths due to extreme cold in forced displacement camps has risen to 21 martyrs since the start of the genocide, and we warn of catastrophic repercussions of the upcoming low-pressure systems.

We warn of the catastrophic humanitarian repercussions resulting from the waves of extreme cold hitting the Gaza Strip, in light of the continued genocide and the suffocating siege, and the widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure it has left behind, as well as the forced displacement of more than one and a half million Palestinians to displacement camps that lack the minimum requirements for human life.

CHINA HUKUM MATI KETUA SINDIKET PENIPUAN SEMPADAN MYANMAR – OPERASI “CYBER SLAVERY” DIGEMPUR HABIS-HABISAN

BEIJING, 6 November 2025 – China menjatuhkan hukuman mati terhadap beberapa anggota utama sindiket penipuan dalam talian yang beroperasi dari kawasan sempadan Myanmar, dalam tindakan tegas terbesar negara itu terhadap jenayah siber lintas sempadan yang digelar “empayar perhambaan siber.”

Menurut laporan Xinhua dan Associated Press (AP), Mahkamah Rakyat Pertengahan Wenzhou menjatuhkan hukuman mati ke atas 11 individu, termasuk ahli keluarga utama yang menjalankan pusat penipuan dan pemerdagangan manusia di wilayah Kokang, utara Myanmar.

Seramai 35 lagi turut dijatuhi hukuman penjara dan sebahagian dikenakan hukuman mati yang digantung.

Sindiket bernilai berbilion yuan

Siasatan mendapati kumpulan ini menjalankan operasi besar-besaran merangkumi pusat perjudian, penipuan pelaburan dalam talian (“pig-butchering scams”), dan pemerdagangan manusia yang menyasarkan warga China.

Kerugian dianggarkan mencecah lebih ¥10 bilion (sekitar AS$1.4 bilion), melibatkan ribuan mangsa yang diculik, dipukul dan dipaksa bekerja dalam keadaan kejam.

Beberapa mangsa dilaporkan meninggal dunia ketika cuba melarikan diri dari pusat kawalan ketat sindiket berkenaan.

China bertindak tegas

Tindakan keras Beijing ini menandakan amaran jelas bahawa tiada tempat selamat bagi mereka yang memperhambakan atau menipu rakyat China di luar negara.

Menurut laporan Washington Post, pihak berkuasa China bekerjasama dengan junta tentera Myanmar sejak tahun lalu untuk menangkap dan mengekstradisi ketua sindiket yang bersembunyi di kawasan autonomi Kokang.

Mereka didakwa atas kesalahan penipuan, pembunuhan, dan pemerdagangan manusia, sebelum dijatuhkan hukuman oleh mahkamah di Shenzhen dan Wenzhou pada penghujung September 2025.

Kawasan sempadan jadi sarang jenayah

Kawasan sempadan Myanmar–China, khususnya Laukkai dan Kokang, telah lama dikenali sebagai zon bebas undang-undang yang dikuasai oleh puak bersenjata tempatan dan sindiket jenayah.

Aktiviti penipuan dan perhambaan siber meningkat sejak 2021 apabila konflik dalaman Myanmar melemahkan pengawasan kerajaan.

Beijing sebelum ini memberi amaran keras bahawa mana-mana kumpulan yang menyasarkan rakyat China akan berdepan tindakan “setimpal dengan nyawa mereka.”

Jurucakap Kementerian Luar China menegaskan bahawa tindakan tegas ini adalah sebahagian daripada kempen nasional membanteras penipuan rentas sempadan yang semakin meruncing di Asia Tenggara.
