The imperial core has gained $15 trillion through exorbitant privilege since 1970, getting higher returns on foreign assets than what they pay on foreign debt. This privilege is financed by transfers from the global South, outstripping aid flows many times over.

"Lessons in Loneliness"
Kaitlyn Creasy writes about loneliness not as simple isolation, but as a complex emotional response to unmet needs for recognition and connection serving as a source of self-understanding and growth.

Your 'doom quote' for today:
"We're not destroying the world because we're clumsy. We're destroying the world because we are, in a very literal and deliberate way, at war with it."

If you’re not fighting against Israel right now, you’ll go down in the history books as a collaborator and supporter of a vicious genocide and countless war crimes. That’s a moral stain that’ll stay on you the rest of your life.

"There is a question that visits me in the small hours, when sleep will not come and the mind turns over old stones. The question is this: “What would I have done in the 1930s, on the morning after Kristallnacht?”
So begins @yanisvaroufakis's powerful and much-needed tribute to @FranceskAlbs, who has not been deterred by American sanctions and Israeli slander from highlighting the genocide in Gaza and the plight of the Palestinians

If you care more about the feelings of Israel's supporters than you do about the lives of Palestinian, Lebanese and Iranian children, you're probably a terrible person - and work in mainstream media.
I thought this was an atrocious interview by Lulu Garcia-Navarro. But it was helpful in exposing mindset of @nytimes. As you can see here, they think that potential harm to beloved Israelis many years from now is a thousand times more important than a genocide of Palestinians.
The Israelis are absolutely convinced that everyone already hated them - and that they hated them irrationally based on their religion. That's a perfect excuse to do anything you want because it's never your fault. It's the fault of evil antisemites who are being unfair to you.
In "Feminist Making, Doing, and Sensing" editors Lauren Guilmette and Ada S. Jaarsma gather scholars for an innovative and critical rethinking of what it means to “do” feminist philosophy. Read the intro for free now: https://t.co/L82J5lAHes
