@HamBadges@KE9AJ@WA5AZQ The exam is NOT for teaching! That's all of our jobs, but some hams apparently don't want to be helpful and would rather watch their beloved hobby die with them than engage with young/inexperienced operators. So much for elmers.
@HamBadges@KE9AJ@WA5AZQ Why? What is the benefit of forcing people to front load this learning before even getting their license? The technician exam should be purely regulatory and introductory. This hobby is all about learning as you go, the license lasts 10 years. Plenty of time to learn AC vs DC.
Has anyone learned CW using the Koch/Farnsworth method? I'm currently at 18wpm character speed and 9wpm Farnsworth with good copy. What's the best way to close the gap?
I finished college! I spent 6 years in total at NYU and while I'm ready to move on, I'll never forget my time there. I'm so grateful for my family for supporting me all this way. Here's to new adventures with my IATSE family!

@K0FFY_Radio On Windows I've had good experiences with Orbitron. Easy filtering and printing of passes in a nice readable format.

@W8LR_Jerry If anyone needs EM89 let me know, it's a stones toss from me. I've worked EN80/EM89 grid line before as well. Best of luck with the rove Jerry!
@NU1U_ant Yeah it took me a bit of fiddling to get it working, I tried commas first but I guess it likes spaces. They absolutely need a filter feature though so you can add and remove specific birds.
@2m0sql That's what I figured. Currently my cloudlog box isn't public facing but I'll chown everything and get it sorted before I put it online. Loving @cloudloghq btw, everything I needed for a modern logging solution!
