It's so easy: you can make your streets safer by cutting corners. Removing excessive pavement encourages slower vehicle speed, shortens crossing distance, and saves cities money and maintenance.

I'm tired of the city making excuses that we can't improve a street during a resurfacing. They've done that every time.

Not anymore. I want to start a conversation.

I'm calling it the Lawrence Prospect.

@BeckyKatz96 Why has the Finch Corridor Trail project between Birchmount Road and Pharmacy Avenue stalled for so long. It was proposed in 2018 and there still hasn't been movement.

Let's just add a sign and hope the problem goes away. As @notjustbikes puts it, rules requiring driver's compliance is an infrastructure FAILURE. Speed bumps, narrowing lanes, raised crosswalks. Why does it feel so safe and easy to break traffic laws on these #stroads

Motorists: Please DRIVE WITH CARE at Kennedy Road & The Bridle Trail in @cityofmarkham. New changes are now in effect such as no right turn on the red light signal and additional crossing time for pedestrians. There is now enhanced @YRP presence in the area. @YRDSB
