A lot of men are misogynistic if we want to be sincere. That’s why I always advocate for men to give women equal chances and equal treatment.
I like to see when men choose not to be misogynistic by choosing to act fair and equal when dealing with women.

PRESS RELEASE
#1 MILLION MINIMUM TUITION FEES: PROF. IBIYEMI OLATUNJI-BELLO GOOFED
My attention has been drawn to a cruel and inhumane statement credited to the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, wherein she reportedly stated that universities seeking financial stability must charge students not less than #1 million in tuition.
As the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), who shoulders the responsibility of representing and advancing the interests of Nigerian students, I find her position deeply disturbing and insensitive. I make bold to state, without mincing words, that Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello goofed.
It is so sardonic that a former Vice-Chancellor, who is also a parent, a mother who is supposed to be empathetic, could publicly advocate that Nigerian students should be made to pay nothing less than #1 million in tuition before public universities can attain financial sustainability.
It is rather unfortunate to see the oppressed of yesterday become the oppressor of today. Many of those who enjoyed free education are the ones who stand to commercialize education. This recent public comment by Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello speaks of her cruelty and callousness. One must ask her how much she paid during her undergraduate days. Was the education that prepared her for the career she enjoys today commercialized or priced at that amount?
To be clear, education cannot be commercialized. Students cannot be made to pay for the financial challenges confronting our universities. As much as universities require adequate funding, the Federal Government is investing heavily in education to keep students in school, ensuring that education is accessible to all, regardless of their background and financial status. Thus, if universities need extra funding, management, especially Vice-Chancellors, must be ready to innovate, think outside the box, and innovate to generate revenue without having to place extra burdens on students.
The Federal Government has also established NELFUND as part of efforts to expand access to education. Managements must therefore refrain from increasing tuition fees just because NELFUND has been put in place to pay students' tuition. Managements must explore other alternatives to generate revenue without having to burden students and stretch them financially.
Going forward, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, having goofed, is enjoined to retract her statement. With such a cruel and callous statement, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello has shown to all Nigerians that she is undeserving of a public office.
To this end, managements of institutions are enjoined to discard the callous statement of Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello to commercialize education and make education inaccessible to all. Management must innovate without having to overstretch Nigerian students.
As the voice of Nigerian students both at home and in the diaspora, we shall continue to speak for students while advancing our collective will, championing initiatives that address the welfare and concerns of Nigerian students.

Public Universities Must Start Charging At Least ₦1 million Tuition Per Student — Former LASU VC, Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello
Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, immediate past Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), has said public universities across Nigeria may need to charge at least ₦1 million in tuition per student to achieve financial self-sustainability.
Olatunji-Bello made the remarks in a recent interview while reflecting on her five-year tenure, which ended on Saturday. She said LASU currently spends over ₦1 billion monthly on its payroll, while its ₦13 billion internally generated revenue (IGR) is insufficient to cover salaries.
“Universities can achieve financial self-sustainability. If they can innovate and ensure improvements in the institution, money will come in,” she said.
“But then, if the money comes in, how do you spend it? Right now, LASU does not have financial self-sustainability. We may have increased our dedicated revenue, but we cannot survive. Our payroll right now is over N1bn per month. All the N13bn IGR does not cover our salaries.”
She added, “So, universities that want to attain self-sustainability will have to increase school fees into millions.”
According to her, while some secondary schools charge over ₦1 million per term, some public universities still charge around ₦100,000 yearly, which she said is unsustainable.
“So, any public university that wants to sustain financial independence will have to charge school fees of not less than N1 million per student,” she said.
Olatunji-Bello also stated that “good quality education needs money” and urged parents to prioritise their children’s education.
Her comments came shortly after Education Minister Tunji Alausa urged public universities to diversify their funding, saying government resources alone cannot sustain tertiary institutions.

The only ideas public university administrators have for revenue generation are school fees, bakery and pure water factory.
He no dey pass those three.
Nothing like endowment funds, converting their vast lands to startup parks or leasing them to manufacturers who can engage students with internships.
Bunch of stupid professors running Nigeria's educational system.
We’re drowning in thirst traps.
You know it’s become a problem when even I am complaining.
You ladies aren’t giving us time to appreciate and assimilate a batch before you pump out the next.
YOU’RE WASTING VALUE!!!
Just this year alone:
* a mother killed her 3 children
* a mother went live and started sucking her 7yrs old son’s pimpim
* a mother went live also and forced her 5yrs old daughter to suck dildo
* a woman raped her daughter and told her to lie that’s the father did it
* a mother raped her 3yrs old baby and used dildo on her.
All these and more and I have not seen any video or tweet from a man blaming all women and calling them pedophiles.
One man will rape a girl and my timeline will be filled with women calling all men rapist and pedophiles.
The same way we hold women who commit a crime accountable and not the whole species of women, is the same way we should hold men who committed a crime accountable and not the whole species.
