Absolutely love Volkanovski. You can tell he hates the WWE turn the UFC has made in the past few years.
Volk is a true champ, truly a different breed & will be missed
“CHAMPION VS #1 CONTENDER THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE”
FANTASY FOOTBALL TRADING HANDBOOK - My must read guide before making any trade in fantasy football. Bookmark this.
1. THE 2-FOR-1 RULE
Whoever gets the best player usually wins.
Two good players take two lineup spots. One great player takes one, and the open spot gets filled from waivers for free.
2. THE 3-FOR-1 RULE
Only count players who would actually start for the team getting them.
If two of the three would sit on that bench, you're trading a star for one starter and two roster cloggers. And the side getting three has to cut two players to fit them.
3. BYES ALREADY TAKEN = BONUS VALUE
Most leagues have about 9 regular-season weeks left. A player who already had his bye plays all 9. A player whose bye is still coming plays 8. That's about 10% more games.
4. TRADE FOR THE PLAYOFFS
Look at Weeks 15 to 17: who they play, and whether it's outdoors in December.
5. YOUR RECORD DECIDES WHAT YOU BUY
5-1? Buy injured stars at a discount. You can afford to wait for them.
1-5? You need points now. Never buy a player who's out for weeks.
6. BUY USAGE, SELL TOUCHDOWNS
Targets, carries and snaps carry over week to week. Touchdowns don't.
A back with 20 carries and no scores is a buy. A receiver with 4 catches and 2 scores is a sell.
7. SELL THE DAY AFTER THE BIG GAME
The best time to sell is when the box score is still fresh. The best time to buy is after the dud. Your league mates react to last week. You shouldn't.
8. BUY INJURED PLAYERS THE WEEK BEFORE THEY RETURN
The discount is biggest while he's out and his manager is panicking. Once he's practicing, the price is back.
9. KNOW YOUR LEAGUE'S SETTINGS
PPR boosts pass catchers. Superflex makes QBs worth double. TE premium makes elite tight ends worth even more. Every chart, ours included, is built for one format. Adjust for yours.
10. ELITE TIGHT ENDS ARE WORTH A PREMIUM
Few teams have one. The gap between the best TE and the 8th best is usually bigger than at any other position. Pay for it.
11. READ THEIR ROSTER BEFORE YOU OFFER
Sell them what they're missing. A team with no RB2 values your back more than any value chart does. That's where you win trades.
12. MAKE THE FIRST OFFER FAIR
Lowball offers get ignored, and they make the next negotiation harder. Start fair, explain why, and leave room to add a throw-in.
13. HANDCUFFS ARE INSURANCE, NOT VALUE
Don't pay full price for a backup. He's worth what the starter's injury risk is worth to you.
We started this year genuinely believing this was a team that could win the Super Bowl, and 4 weeks later we are 0-4.
I have never been humbled more in my life.
