A raccoon broke into a closed liquor store and hit the bottom shelf, where the scotch and whisky were stored. An employee at the Ashland, Virginia-area liquor store found the trash panda passed out on the bathroom floor at the end of his drunken escapade.

Update on Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) benefits: The @usda has directed states to pause transmission of November FNS benefits. #NHCgov DSS is working with state partners to understand the full implications. Updates will be shared if timing or amount of Nov. benefits change.
UPDATE – Due to forecasted weather for NC and SC early next week, the department has determined to postpone the public hearings on the Carolina Bays Parkway Extension.
Staff will reschedule the meetings for a later date and alert the public when a date has been decided upon.
Students, faculty and staff should continue to monitor their email and UNCW Alerts for updates and report anything concerning immediately by calling 911 or contacting UNCW Police.
