🔥 The Kapotnya Oil Refinery has halted crude oil processing following a drone attack, Reuters reports.

It is now the fifth major russian refinery to suspend fuel production after drone attacks in September.

19 вересня 2024 року 27-річна українська журналістка Вікторія Рощина померла в російському полоні.

Коли через пів року Росія передала її тіло, в ньому бракувало мозку, очних яблук і частини трахеї.

Судмедекспертиза виявила перелом шиї, переломи ребер і численні крововиливи.

Її колишній редактор сказав тоді: "Вони намагалися знищити докази. Вони намагалися стерти її".

Їм це не вдалося.

Вікторія почала займатися журналістикою у 16 років. Кримінал, суди, права людини. Після повномасштабного вторгнення вона поїхала туди, де найнебезпечніше.

Вона робила те, на що не наважувалися багато журналістів: сама проникала на окуповані території, щоб зафіксувати реальне життя під окупацією. Херсонщина. Запорізька АЕС. Незаконні "вибори".

За цю сміливість вона отримала нагороду "За мужність у журналістиці", а згодом - посмертно - звання "Герой свободи преси".

У березні 2022 року її вперше затримала ФСБ, коли вона намагалася дістатися до обложеного Маріуполя.

У Бердянську її тримали 10 днів, змусили записати відео із запереченням звинувачень - і відпустили.

Вона написала про це. І повернулася до роботи.

У серпні 2023 року вона вирушила знову - через Польщу та Росію на окупований схід.

3 серпня вона востаннє поговорила з рідними. Сказала, що пройшла кілька днів прикордонних перевірок. Де саме вона - не сказала. Відтоді вона зникла.

Росія лише через дев'ять місяців визнала, що її затримано.

У полоні Вікторія голодувала на знак протесту. Інша ув'язнена, яка їхала з нею в одному вагоні, описала її як "схожу на жертву Голодомору 1932–33 років, всю жовту". Вона казала: "Я не хочу їсти, бо тут катують наших".

Її батько отримав дзвінок від російської сторони. Йому обіцяли: умовте доньку припинити голодування - і її звільнять. Він погодився. Він умовив. Росія не виконала обіцянку.

Вікторія не була військовою. Вона була журналісткою. Вона могла залишитися в безпеці. Але раз за разом обирала їхати туди, де найстрашніше, бо вірила: людей на окупованих територіях не можна забувати.

Сьогодні друга річниця її загибелі.

Вона залишила по собі не просто репортажі. Вона залишила питання: коли 27-річна журналістка гине в полоні за те, щоб світ побачив правду - чи ми справді її побачили?

The heartbreaking story of two Ukrainian brothers.

12-year-old Maksym carried his brother Mykyta’s photo through the streets, believing that one day they would be together again.

Mykyta had spent more than two years in russian captivity after defending Mariupol.

On December 30, 2024, he finally came home.

But the hug they had waited for never happened.

On September 21, 2024, a russian missile killed 12-year-old Maksym and his grandmother, Valentyna.

Mykyta survived captivity.

Maksym never got to see his brother come home.

They had so much left to say to each other.

They never got the chance.

She wasn’t on a battlefield. She was at work. A young woman who showed up for a production shift at a festival that was supposed to be music, friends, and morning light.

People who knew her said she loved life and family. Always surrounded by friends. She loved to laugh, hang out, and dance. They said she brightened every room she entered. They called her the most beautiful flower. A girl with a wide-open heart.

Her family designed her tombstone as a heart with a rose engraved on it. That was their choice. Not how she died. How she lived.

October 7 took her with more than 1,200 others. The date is a wound. The names are the answer.

Say hers out loud.
Lior Maimon, of blessed memory.
May her memory be a blessing.
May the light her friends described outlast the darkness that tried to put it out.

Her laugh. Her dance. The rose on the heart of stone.

A mother and her three young children were trapped inside an upside-down SUV that was filling with water in a Florida canal.

One of the little boys was banging on the door, screaming that his mom’s head was underwater.

That’s when Casey Curtis heard the cries and ran toward the canal. He reached the submerged SUV and started pulling the children out one by one, getting all three to safety.

But their mother was still inside.

Casey went back to the vehicle and found her unconscious, still buckled into her seat with her head underwater. He lifted her face above the water, realized she wasn’t breathing and gave her a breath right there in the canal.

She started breathing again.

The mother spent several days in intensive care, but she survived. All three of her children survived too.

Those kids watched a stranger pull them from a sinking SUV, then turn around and go back into the water for their mom when she couldn’t save herself. Casey Curtis is the kind of person people should know about.

Yagil was only 12 when Hamas terrorists stormed Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7 and dragged him and his 16-year-old brother, Or, into Gaza.

As they broke into the safe room, Yagil pleaded:

“Don’t take me. I’m too young.”

He turned 13 in captivity.

Yagil and Or were released 52 days later. Their father, Yair, had been murdered on October 7 and his body taken to Gaza.

After his release, Yagil described the fear, abuse, burns and bruises he endured.

He was a child.

Hamas kidnapped children. Hamas tore families apart. Hamas turned their homes into scenes of terror.

Remember Yagil. Remember the hostages. Remember October 7.

Він три роки полював на ворожі дрони, а потім дрон прилетів за ним.

Назар Бокій виходив із бліндажа по заряд. Звичайна справа. Він робив це сотні разів.

Але цього разу в небі щось загуло - і звук наближався саме до нього.

Ворожий FPV-дрон пікірував. Назар встиг лише рефлекторно підняти руки, щоб закритися.

Пролунав вибух, у вухах задзвеніло - і картинка зникла. Пітьма.

"Я прикрився руками, але вибухом мені відірвало обидві руки", - згадує він.

До війни Назар працював журналістом і мав власну майстерню з виготовлення ножів.

А коли почалася велика війна - не залишився осторонь. Пішов на фронт і став оператором FPV-дронів у 135-му батальйоні.

Три роки він бив по позиціях окупантів з повітря. А того дня все змінилося.

Він втратив обидві руки одразу і одне око. Друге око лікарі змогли врятувати. Також отримав розрив обох барабанних перетинок із втратою слуху.

Далі - тривале лікування в реанімації.

Але Назар не здався. З лікарняного ліжка він написав: "Ми не здаємось!" Поруч весь час була дружина Валентина.

Після лікування він встановив перші механічні протези і навіть ставиться до цього з гумором: "Я схожий на лиходія з Marvel".

Його головна мотивація - повернути контроль над власним життям.

На фронті загинув наш побратим Микола Карпюк — співзасновник «Правого сектору», багаторічний член партійного Проводу, легенда українського націоналістичного руху.

Микола був людиною, для якої боротьба за Україну не була словами. З 1991 року — в УНА-УНСО. Воював у Придністров’ї, брав участь у російсько-грузинській війні, був нагороджений орденом Вахтанга Горгасала.

Він пройшов через тюрму за участь в акції «Україна без Кучми», Помаранчеву революцію та Революцію Гідності. Був одним із лідерів «Правого сектору» на Майдані.

У березні 2014 року Миколу викрали російські спецслужби. Кремль кинув його за ґрати та засудив до 22,5 років ув’язнення за сфабрикованими звинуваченнями. Він пройшов через катування, допити, але не зламався. У 2019 році повернувся в Україну в результаті обміну.

Після звільнення Микола знову став до боротьби. Від початку повномасштабного вторгнення — у ЗСУ. Через вік його звільнили зі служби, але він підписав новий контракт і повернувся на фронт.

Учора ворожий безпілотник обірвав життя Воїна і Борця.

Микола Карпюк до останнього залишався в строю — вірним Україні, своїм побратимам та ідеї, якій присвятив усе життя.

Пам’ять про нього житиме в Чині.

This went on day and night.

Natalia survived months of interrogations and abuse before being dumped 160 km from home — without documents, money, or a phone. It took her three days to return.

This is what russia does. This is not the cruelty of a few men. It is the method of a state.
