The life sentence for #KhieuSamphan was affirmed by the SCC in its judgment today in #Case002_02. It will be a second life sentence served concurrently with his first life sentence in #Case002_01. It will be implemented after the issuance of the full reasons later this year. #KRT
All other convictions of #KhieuSamphan at trial in #Case002_02 were affirmed, including crimes against humanity of murder, extermination, persecution, enslavement, torture, and other inhumane acts of enforced disappearances, forced marriage and attacks on human dignity.
Today the #ECCC Supreme Court Chamber issues appeal judgment in #Case002_02 on #KhieuSamphan.
This is final judgment issued in a case at @KRTribunal.
