🚨Excited to share our preprint from my PhD at @ESEImperial
In this work with Dr Joel Davis, we analyse accretion surfaces (curvilinear deposits) on Jezero Western Fan, offering an orbitally-derived characterisation of the unit sampled by @NASAPersevere

A year of protest against the federation chief.
Slept on pavements for 40 days.
Was beaten, dragged by the police.
Nearly immersed all her medals in the Ganga.
Underwent knee surgery.
Sealed her Olympic spot after an unforgiving qualification process.
Became the 1st Indian woman wrestler to qualify for three successive Olympics.
And now, she's beaten the unbeatable defending champ, won two more bouts to become the first Indian woman to reach a wrestling Olympic final.
Words fail to appreciate what Vinesh Phogat has just done.

@Desert_Of_Song @prattersgeezers Lol. Appreciate the bravado but set smaller goals, bhai. Don’t jump directly to the big league. Maybe last a full season next time. 😂
🚨My first PhD paper is now available in @RemoteSens_MDPI@MDPIOpenAccess !
Ever wondered how human presence is shaped by different types of river channels??

I am excited to share that I am convening a new session at #EGU24! Abstract submission is open and accepting research abstracts across Dynamic Landscapes Across Time. @S2sItn@EuroGeosciences@EGU_GM
Finally the image from the surface. Never been more excited to see an image!
So thrilled to see India make it to the South Pole of the moon! Congrats to everyone at @isro 🇮🇳🛰️🌘
Looking forward to amazing science now… #Chandrayaan3#VikramLander
Chandrayaan-3 Mission:
The image captured by the
Landing Imager Camera
after the landing.
It shows a portion of Chandrayaan-3's landing site. Seen also is a leg and its accompanying shadow.
Chandrayaan-3 chose a relatively flat region on the lunar surface 🙂

How hard is it to do science in a language that’s not your first language? We quantified the severity of #languagebarriers for non-native English speakers when reading/publishing papers and attending/presenting at international conferences.

At the very least, I hope this news brings a greater level of awareness and sensitivity about the personal financial cost to international PhD students, that very frankly, the UK Supervisors and universities are oblivious to.
Visa fees & NHS surcharges are *already* massively impacting international postdocs/PhDs (who de facto take a pay cut rltv to UK nationals)... this is going to have a really really bad impact on UK academia
💥Dates for your #AGU22 diary!💥 Come and join us for Quantifying the Drivers of Landscape Evolution(…) and Deciphering the Stratigraphic Record of Surface Processes(…). We are v lucky to have so many awesome scientists sharing their work AND we promise to make no bad puns 🌍🏞️
