I have a hard time reaching out for help because of my anxiety; hopefully, this is shown to the right people.
I know asking people on the internet for money is in bad faith, but anything you can spare to help me get back on my feet would be a lifesaver. Thank you.
I haven't been able to get food because of my lack of funds. On top of that, I'm struggling with a stressful family situation and desperately need financial help for essentials. I've been going through a lot lately, and hopefully, if I have enough funds, I could get some therapy.
This is a grim moment for the gaming community. Sony PlayStation announced today that it will cease all physical games production in 2028. This will essentially erase legal game preservation and ownership on their platform.
The ESA lied to lawmakers to bring down the POG Act

I've set up private servers for nieces, nephews, friends' kids, etc. so they can play Minecraft together safely. If private servers were illegal they'd be forced to play with whoever on public servers. Seems like the exact opposite of protecting kids
“If it doesn’t affect me, then I don’t care.”
This mentally is how we’ve gotten:
-70$ games now 80$ games
-significant price increases
-live service slop constantly
-microtransactions
And far more I could go on and on

Physical retailers are now calling for fans to boycott Sony PlayStation by cancelling their PS PLUS subscriptions. The firestorm is beginning isn't it?
it’s ALMOST like Big Tech actually BENEFITS from governments handing them an excuse to harvest more user data to “ensure a user’s age”.
WOWWWWW WHO COULD’VE GUESSED??? (freaking most if not all of us)
It’s now out in the open: what’s been known in Brussels for a while is coming.
Age verification, internet controls, and likely chat-scanning laws are on the way.

Hideo Kojima warned us about this back in 2021 🤯
Back in 2021, Kojima warned that a future built around digital ownership could leave people unable to freely access the movies, books, music, and games they believed they owned.
His concern was simple: when access depends on companies, platforms, licensing, government rules, or major world events, ownership can suddenly become permission-based.
That post is now resurfacing after Sony confirmed that physical disc production for all new PlayStation games will end starting January 2028. New releases after that point will be available through the PlayStation Store and digital retail formats, while games released on disc before January 2028 will not be affected.
For many fans, this is why physical media still matters. It is not just nostalgia or collecting. It is about preservation, resale, lending, long-term access, and actually owning the stories and games you paid for.
People are saying Kojima predicted the future again, and this time, the debate feels bigger than gaming.
