@GWRHelp Hi Rose, as expected GWR has rejected my claim, because the train ran on time! There is no way to explain that I wasn't on the train because it arrived at the wrong platform and there was only a minute to climb up and over a very tall bridge. How do i proceed?

@GWRHelp Hi, the 17:24 train from Newbury yesterday ran on time!!! Unfortunately it left without any passengers due to a last minute platform change. The platform staff tried to stop him, but off he went. Can I claim for a delay due to not being a gold medal winning sprinter?

@RevRichardColes Yes it sounds like the church at Great Bedwyn. You would have passed Crofton Beam Engines afterwards, which used to raise water up to the highest part of the Kennet and Avon Canal (and still does on Bank Holidays). G Bedwyn is the nearest train station to Marlborough.

@silverpebble This happens to my Mum too. Mrs blackbird comes and shouts at her until she fills the feeder up. If she leaves the conservatory door open and doesn't respond, they come in looking for her. In the past they've also brought the babies round too when they fledged 😁

@mtroamer @OliDugmore @carmmartinezatx An allotment site is normally either council owned land or land rented by the council, that is then split into small plots for individuals to rent. A pretty standard size is normally 5.5x110 yards (mine is only half that). Rent can vary, but most sites are pretty cheap.

@dogwooddays_nic I don't think I've ever met another woman carrying a scope and tripod. I do meet women walking alone locally (rural market town), but most probably have dogs. When women are birding they tend to be with friends or in couples.

@dogwooddays_nic Oh you could meet me anywhere there are birds. I always have my bins and camera when out walking (often on my own). But if I'm visiting a reserve I'll have my scope and tripod too!

@kellyellis @Ben_Aaronovitch Still one of my favourite films (I can hear the theme tune playing in my head right now). At one point I had so much trouble getting a copy on DVD I had to buy a Spanish dubbed version and then work out how to switch it back to English.

@LloydsPharmacy your Thatcham branch is currently closed due to staff shortages and my elderly mother can't collect her prescription. Her meds starts running out on Thursday and doctor says the can't issue a duplicate. Will you help her get her meds in time?

@PastPostcard I still send about 9 every holiday. I still feel obliged to send 1 to my Mum and 1 to a friend who collects them. I also write 1 each to 3 God children because I used to think receiving any post as a child was exciting.
