This past week, the students played an escape room game to review adding and subtracting integers for a test they had coming up. Only one table made it through all five challenges, but everyone seemed to be engaged!
This past week, I was able to attend another department meeting for the teachers at my placement school. They were so cooperative, friendly, and on-task that I was honestly taken aback! I would really like to work at a school like that!

@missjchilly Hey, good job looking at the positives! And yeah, super-talkative students can be a challenge to corral. Definitely something that we’ll have to learn by practice #EDU310
Co-taught a lesson today at my placement. I got to take a table of five boys and go over adding fractions with decimals. Interesting experience, some got it no problem, others not as much. It was really eye-opening!

@BrockLund4 Gotta love a good field trip, eh Brock? That’s exciting! Sure is a nice way to shake things up a bit for you and everyone else involved. #EDU310
At my placement, one of the students was giving his friend (who plays football for the school) grief about the success of the team. My mentor teacher shut that down swiftly and pointedly. I hope to be able to fight bullying that well when I teach! #EDU310

I got to attend a meeting for the teachers at my clinical today. We discussed emergency medical actions to take for the students with diabetes, severe allergies, etc. It was a great thing to see them work so well together!

I’m excited for you man! Hope everything goes well and you’re able to get caught up to speed. It can always be a challenge when you aren’t quite in-tune with the class work.
I got to attend a meeting between the administrators and 7th grade teachers at my placement today. They all seemed to work extremely well together - something I really want to see in my future work environment!
I’m grateful that I got to observe!
