@sydney_plate Isn’t that such an amazing feeling!! #edu310

Today was yet another successful day at my placement. The kids had so much work to catch up on, so I was there to do some small group/one-on-one work with kids who are behind. I’ve been able to practice some redirecting techniques with the kids who get easily distracted! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@KZAndre4 Cool! What was your lesson about? #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

Today was my first observation! It was a good experience, for sure! The kids did Heggerty and I gave them a CVC word coloring activity to work on afterwards. It was a fun Turkey coloring page for Thanksgiving! 🦃 #edu310

@MusicTeacherMsV That sounds super exciting!! I’m glad you feel like you were able to come back with some new tools and knowledge for your future classroom! #edu310

Happy Halloween 🎃 The kids were very excited about their Halloween party at the end of the day! I led the students in calendar and weather time. With the lovely snowfall we’ve had today, I got to talk to the kids about why it is snowing now instead of raining. ❄️ #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

I went on a trip with my class this week!! It was so much fun and such a good experience. We visited a nature center and the kids LOVED exploring the outdoors, even if it was raining all day! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@kaeleighs14 Awesome!! Sounds like it went well! 😁 #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@sydney_plate It’s such an amazing feeling when you know you helped a kid build up that confidence! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

Yesterday was honestly a little rough… the kids were super talkative and had a hard time focusing. It required a lot of having to constantly remind them to be quiet and focus on their work. However, I always love getting to see them all so it was still a good day! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@sydney_plate Yikes! That’s a lot of kids! It doesn’t help that you only have 30 hours with them so as soon as you memorize their names, the semester is over! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

We had a crazy morning! All students had to move from the school to the church due to some safety concerns! I was so proud of my class for how they handled the changes to their schedule this morning. And one student made me this adorable picture! 🥰 #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@AlainaG050 You’re going to be great! Can’t wait to hear about it 😊 #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@BrockLund4 It’s always fun to see the students going above and beyond! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

Today, my students worked with their older buddies to create their very own shields for Anti Bullying!! Everyone was allowed to dress up as their favorite super hero. I wore all black for Black Widow! 🦸🏼‍♀️ #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@AlainaG050 So fun! I’m glad they enjoyed it and that you were able to do a read-a-loud with them! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@kaeleighs14 That sounds like a super exciting project! I always loved my science projects from middle and high school! Maybe you could share some pictures of how they turn out? #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

Last Tuesday, I was finally able to start my time with my first graders! It was such an amazing experience! My mentor teacher allowed me to jump right in to helping the students with class work and activities. I am so excited to continue to spend time in my classroom! #EDU310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

@KZAndre4 That’s so cool that you got to attend that meeting! Im so glad to hear you are having a positive experience so far! #edu310

[Julia Childers @missjchilly]

#EDU310 I haven’t started my clinical hours yet but I have done some required private school training that was a bit time consuming, but actually pretty interesting. Implementing ways to keep all children safe is always extremely important and should be taken seriously!!
