The water level of the Mithi river has reached the danger mark near Kranti Nagar at the Kurla bridge. An NDRF team is stationed at the site, and nearby residents have been alerted as a precaution. Mumbai Police is warning that floodwaters from the river may enter Kranti Nagar, urging people to take shelter in a nearby school, where food and water arrangements have been made.

🚨 Urgent Demand to BMC 🚨
If you can’t fix it, shut it down!
We demand @mybmc to permanently close the Andheri Subway and officially declare it as:
🏞️ ANDHERI LAKE – Picnic Spot 🏞️
Every monsoon, Andheri Subway turns into a swimming pool while Mumbaikars suffer. BJP–Shinde government and BMC both refuse to take accountability for the pathetic conditions of our subways and nullahs.
Today, Mumbai is drowning while thekedar’s of the city enjoy the rains.
➡️ Corporation elections are delayed for over 3 years
➡️ BMC is busy in corruption, not solutions
Enough of playing with people’s lives and expectations!
If you cannot make Andheri Subway functional, then declare it as a permanent lake and stop pretending it’s a road.

An Indian rat snake was spotted on an iron rod below the roof of a house in Aarey Milk Colony and was rescued on Sunday night by snake rescuer Kaushal Dubey, who later released it into the wild. Dubey said the snake likely entered while chasing a rat.

Worker of the cement factory at Junagarh & a free roaming lion accidentally meet each other. Both panic.
You have just witnessed the rare reverse chase 😀

Multiple studies globally have already proved by time that pigeons are pests but unaware of the seriousness of the multiple diseases that these birds carry is far horrible #StopFeedingPests@ranjeetnature@mybmc@IndianMedicalA2
I am a Jain and for my entire childhood I have been taught to feed pigeons by my parents and grandparents. It was a habit to visit the 'kabutarkhana' after the temple.
But let me tell you some facts. The Pigeon droppings, feathers, and even dried urine contain tiny protein particles and fungal spores. If you are regularly exposed to it, you can develop scar tissue in your lungs, and it can turn into a permanent and progressive ILD.
Around 45 to 50 thousand people die from ILD every year in our country. Though not always because of pigeon but one of the causes.
Coming from a religion where I have been taught Ahmisa from childhood, I totally understand what you feel about pigeons dying from starvation, but in my family, I have seen two people dying because of ILD. It is such a painful death that I would do anything to save people from it.
Pigeons are flying rats. Do you feed rats in your home? If yes, feed pigeons in your home.
Sad to see this started again until last year it was banned why did it start again? Under the name of awareness it's putting life at risk of serpent and the onlookers and rescuers as seen the rescuer is handling the snake bare foot which could lead to bite😫😡🐾
This video is allegedly from Battis Shirala in Sangli district. Disappointing to see live Indian Spectacled Cobra snake shows during #NagPanchami passed off as "awareness." True education means respecting snakes—not handling them for stunts that endanger both animals and people. #WildlifeConservation

Wildlife photographer and naturalist Darshan Vengurlekar has documented a rare behaviour among the golden jackal, spotting a canid feasting on jackfruit in Malvan, Sindhudurg district. The golden sighting took place a few days ago. “We have often seen jackals eating fruits found on the ground like mango, cashew, jamun, bor or karvande.Jackals do not have to work hard to eat them. But eating fruits with shells requires more effort, that is why jackals are not often seen eating jackfruit or coconuts. This behaviour was rare, so we immediately documented it,” Vengurlekar tells us.

Once lucky, but twice unlucky , a stray dog near Yeoor, close to Thane and Sanjay Gandhi National Park, narrowly escaped a leopard’s grip only to be caught again seconds later. A passing vehicle startled the big cat, causing it to drop the dog briefly, and the entire incident was captured by the motorist Jerigan Gracias. However, in less than a minute, the leopard picked up the dog once again and vanished away.
