Senior most Judge of Pakistan #SupremeCourt Justice Ijazul Ahsan has resigned from his post and sent his resignation to the President of #Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi.
Justice Ejaz ul Ahsan was to become the Chief Justice of Pakistan after Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa. Justice Ejaz ul Ahsan was the most senior judge after Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, who would retire on March 10, 2024.
After Qazi Faiz Isa, Justice Ejazul Hasan was to become the Chief Justice. After the resignation of Justice Ejazul Hasan, now Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will become the Chief Justice of Pakistan. Justice Ejaz Ul Ahsan did not attend the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council today.
