Putin is in trouble. This is precisely the wrong moment to offer him a way out.
Keep calm and stay the course. Our strategy is working.
To those concerned about the risks posed by a losing aggressor, remember: aggression succeeding would be far more dangerous.
The last thing Europe should do is self-deter.
Together with Nordic-Baltic foreign ministers, we strongly condemn Russia’s and Belarus’ disinformation campaign and threats against Latvia and other Allies.
Russia’s attempts to distract from its illegal war against Ukraine and intimidate NATO will fail.
We remain united in support of Ukraine and in defending Allied territory and airspace.

Spoke with President of Latvia @edgarsrinkevics and President of Estonia @AlarKaris about the growing number of drone incidents in the Baltic region, Russia’s disinformation campaign against our countries, and the need to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank air defense.
We stand in full solidarity with Latvia – Russia’s baseless accusations and attempts to divert the attention of the international community from its illegal war of aggression against Ukraine have failed.
We highly value NATO Allies’ support in protecting Baltic airspace and will continue working together to further strengthen air defense and counter-drone capabilities in our region. 🇱🇹🇱🇻🇪🇪
Had a good call with Romanian FM @oana_toiu today and thanked her for the swift response of the Romanian F-16 from Baltic Air Policing unit stationed in Šiauliai after a drone entered Estonian airspace.
Allies’ professionalism and rapid action show clearly that @NATO collective defence works. Allies stand ready to protect every inch of NATO territory.
Thank you dear Margus, 🇪🇪 FM @tsakhna, for #Estonia’s firm position and for joining the PEMC & 🇱🇹 initiative to establish a pan‑European memorial in Brussels for the victims of totalitarian regimes. Together, we honour millions of victims, strengthen Europe’s historical memory, and reaffirm our shared commitment to truth, justice, and human dignity. 🇱🇹🇪🇪🇪🇺
We - Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway & Sweden - meeting in Kuressaare 🇪🇪, stand united at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions and Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.
Ukraine’s future lies firmly in the European and Euro-Atlantic family. Supporting its sovereignty, self-defence, and irreversible path to EU & NATO is essential for Europe’s security and future.
We reaffirm our unwavering long-term support, stronger sanctions against Russia, and our commitment to a just and lasting peace grounded in international law.

Today in Kaunas, together with President @AlarKaris we commemorated the former Estonian embassies, stressing the importance of preserving historical memory.
It was in Kaunas, the provisional capital of Lithuania in 1919-1939, and also Tallinn, where independent modern states of Lithuania and Estonia forged their special relationship that endures to this day.
Knowing our past well, we will continue walking side by side, strengthening one another!
Together with President @AlarKaris, we inspected the construction of Rail Baltica from a helicopter.
Despite the project’s complexity, our countries attach the highest priority to its implementation and seek for solutions to accelerate it - to have a fully operational Rail Baltica connection between the Baltic States and the rest of Europe as soon as possible.
We underline the strategic and dual-use role of Rail Baltica for the economic development and security of the Baltic region. Therefore, we stress the critical importance of completing Rail Baltica by 2030 and working together to secure the necessary EU funding in the next MFF.
Minsk’s move to brand the European Humanities University - an accredited Belarusian university in exile in Vilnius - an “extremist organization” is outrageous.
It puts students, faculty, and families at serious risk and obstructs access to independent, unbiased education.
It is yet another hostile act by the Lukashenko regime against #Lithuania and the #EU. We stand ready to back the #EHU community.
Joint statement by Baltic Foreign Ministers 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹: Russia’s disinformation against Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania is baseless. No drone attacks launched from our territory. We stand firmly with Ukraine’s right to self-defense. https://t.co/AOMr7n9isW
It was not just the British who bled and died alongside 🇺🇸 forces in Afghanistan.
🇪🇪 per capita losses were among the highest of all Allies, because we served on the front lines in Helmand, side by side with UK forces and American Marines.
We will always remember Jako Karuks, Kalle Torn, Ivar Brok, Allain Tikko, Eerik Salmus, Raivis Kang, Kristjan Jalakas, Herdis Sikka, Agris Hutrof & all those wounded 🇪🇪 soldiers in Afghanistan. Estonians were on the frontline, supporting our Allies, & defending #NATO article 5.
Joint statement by the NB8 Foreign Ministers: Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian cities and critical energy infrastructure aim to cut electricity, heating and water, violate international humanitarian law and may constitute war crimes. Attacks linked to nuclear power infrastructure put nuclear safety at serious risk.

If you’ve been following me for a while, this story won't surprise you, but it should absolutely alarm you.
Estonians are waking up to find their entire history being systematically erased and replaced with pro-Kremlin propaganda on Wikipedia. We are talking about a massive, industrial-scale information war.
The Russian playbook is in full swing.
The birthplaces of hundreds of prominent Estonians have been changed from "Estonia" to "Soviet Union".
Detailed historical records of Soviet repressions, mass arrests, and executions have been scrubbed clean. Even the Estonian War of Independence is being redefined.
Instead of a heroic struggle for self-determination, it is being framed as "separatism" by "aggressive" Estonians against Russia.
But here is the kicker: when Estonian volunteers tried to restore the truth, they were the ones banned. Senior editors have locked these pro-Kremlin distortions in place, turning lies into "protected facts."
This sounds familiar because it is the exact same strategy being used against Israel. Pro-Palestinian editors are aggressively scrubbing the documented, continuous history of the Jewish people. Critical entries like "Zionism" and the "Gaza War" are flooded with disinformation, while any attempt to bring back factual reality is met with immediate bans.
Wikipedia, much like the UN, "human rights" organizations and some sectors of the academia, has been hijacked.
It has become a tool for the anti-Western axis to sow chaos, fuel division, and manufacture a fake consensus.
When "truth" is decided by the most aggressive editor rather than historical record, the democratic world is in serious trouble.

It is cold in Vilnius, but had a warm and informative talk @GSSC_LT with the Estonian foreign minister @Tsahkna, who came to meet @BudrysKestutis at the annual Snow meeting.
From the Baltic to the Black Sea, and from countering hybrid threats to advancing EU enlargement, we reviewed key security priorities with my Romanian colleague, @oana_toiu.
We also discussed introducing a unified ban on issuing Schengen visas and residence permits to Russian citizens who have taken up arms against Ukraine.
Today marks one year since the mass protests started in Georgia 🇬🇪. Thousands of citizens courageously stood up for their country’s democratic path.
We pay tribute to all Georgians who continue to uphold fundamental rights and freedoms, and keep alive the belief in a free and democratic Georgia.
Your resilience, dignity, and unwavering commitment to European values remain truly inspirational - a powerful reminder that the spirit of democracy cannot be silenced.
Estonia 🇪🇪 stands firmly with the people of Georgia and supports your aspirations for a democratic, European future.
