🚨The SIDS vaccine paper controversy debunked🚨

I'm really glad that @jsm2334 made this post, because it highlights how the pharma industry mobilises academics to provide pseudo-scientific arguments to bury a problem.

Jeff makes the claim that the retraction of the Miller paper was justified (it wasn't - it passed peer review and wasn't fraudulent, which is the correct threshold for publication), because he thinks that the correct method of looking at the increase in SIDS deaths after vaccination is something called a "self controlled case series (SCCS)".

But he knows this is not true for two reasons
1⃣ You can't use death as a measure in the self-controlled case series, because once you're dead you can't continue to be your own control. It creates a survivor bias and is a known problem with SCCS.
2⃣ You can't use SCCS in the absence of a predictable incidence rate because you're comparing one time point to another. If the incidence is decreasing over time (as SIDS does) then comparing an earlier to later time point is not valid. Statisticians try to do this by modelling the expecting values, but this introduces another confounder or bias which can be "fudged" to create the answer that you want.

To illustrate this fudging the chart below is created from an artificial data set where there is a 50% increase in SIDS death rate after vaccination at 2 months and 4 months - just like the spikes in Jeffrey's graph.

If the statistician chooses the red line as their model, their SCCS analysis would show that there was no risk of an increase in death after vaccine administration at 2 months and 4 months (even though it was built into the data set).

That is how the pharma funded scientists falsely create statistics that don't show a safety signal.

And that is why Jeffrey wants you to believe that the papers that use SCCS should overrule the Miller paper.

They shouldn't. The only way around this is to conduct a huge randomised controlled trial where half the population has their vaccines deferred and the other half has the vaccines at 2 months and 4 months. Obviously this will never fly.

In the absence of better data, or complete transparency over SIDS deaths in relation to vaccination date, it cannot be claimed that vaccination (especially with multiple antigens) does not increase the risk of SIDS.

The Miller paper should be restored immediately. Retraction of papers for political reasons, and on the whim of unhinged political activists, is not science. It is corruption.
