@DONROD777@Telegraph They specifically target bacteria for the purpose of engineering new antibacterial treatments. I'm not saying stuff like this could never go wrong but it isn't the mad scientist "let's create a doomsday disease just for fun" that everyone seems to think it is.
@AngelMD1103 I commonly hear "eliminate the sources of stress". Lol
Breathing exercises, triggering the diving reflex, somatic shaking, and ashwaganda have put an end to this for me.
@ASFleischman Among the debate, is there data that shows if the law reduces crime? If we see it putting away innocent ppl, or otherwise leading to disproportionate sentences, but no measurable impact on crime, it's a lot harder to defend.
@oroborous Incrementally increasing ac usage will have *zero* measurable global impact. There isn't a single reason you can't save lives now with higher ac usage, while continuing to offset emissions for the long term. Ideology kills, and you are today's example.
@lelitchispatial@benadrylfan69 Tens of thousands are dying every year because of the lack of ac, which will do *nothing* to slow climate change, and your pushback is that the toll is "only" 50k instead of 175k?
I'll be nice and say europe has a condescending obtusity problem and that it's not your fault.
@brian_callaci Increasing current solar and wind generation by 15% would offset the climate impact if ac penetration throughout europe doubled, but fuck it, let's just let 50k ppl die every year instead. Jfc.
@brian_callaci What would the adaptation be to rising sea levels that is equivalent to installing an ac unit?
Making a conscious choice to allow 50k preventable deaths every year to avoid incrementally affecting the climate is plainly evil.
@LegalFockery@ReichlinMelnick Maga are the absolute kings of knowing literally nothing about american history or the constitution, then Leroy Jenkins-ing that stupidity in public lmao
