So take this as a warning friends. Even if a gift card you are buying looks legit, the package looks completely un-tampered with, and even the "peel or scratch for claim code sticker" is fully intact, you could still be a victim of this fraud. I'm disappointed in Amazon

Why would Amazon hold the retailer responsible anyways for something that clearly happened before the card was shipped to them. The retailer has no reason to think they are getting bad gift cards, especially when the packaging has no tampering.
